I love this product. Its a simple formula with ample MOS (mannan-oligosaccharides), great price and effectiveness. MOS are nondigestable warriors. They attach to pathogens in the gut, starving them and preventing colonization by allowing them to be passed through. They also help modulate the immune system. This helps maintain a healthy biome throughout stress, seasonal changes, antibiotics, and also in cases of chronic inflammatory conditions.I was looking for a substitute for Equine Choice Second Generation pre/probiotic, which now, cannot be sold in US as its a CA company. Gutwerks is just as good as Equine Choice, better price and bigger bucket.My horse developed a chronic nasty case of colitis after a scary bout with encysted parasites. His symptoms are completely controlled between this product, some chinese herbs for the disease itself, and a mineral balanced diet.I always suggest this product to people whose horses have tummy trouble or ulcers and every time they report success.You must address the root issue, but this product stabilizes the gut biome when there are uncontrolled variables (like lameness, seasonal change, stress)

My horse loves this product and her leaky gut is managed. She is much more pleasant to work with!

My horse has not had gut issues, but she has had some injuries and stress. Feeding her GutWerks is prophylactic, and so far so good. It certainly is nice to the human putting it in her feed because it smells great. I chose it because a horsewoman I know says that she thought her horses' behavior seemed to improve during the time she was giving this product, perhaps indicating they were more comfortable in their gut. Hard to say for sure. It is guess work. the problem is it's more expensive. I decided it was worth it particularly while my horse was stressed due to rehabilitation.

I started my ulcer-prone gelding on this just over 3 months ago and have been very pleased with the results. Most pre/probiotics do not provide enough microorganisms to effectively recolonize the gut, but this one does! Also found it to be very Palatable (he’ll eat just about anything though).

Who knows why, but one of my horses developed persistent diarrhea that lasted for years. First it was seasonal, then it became chronic. We tried all sorts of remedies. Some would work for a while but none would fix the situation. Gutwerks works. I give it to all of my horses. No more squirting liquid poop and soft piles of plop.Thanks, GutWerks!!!!

It's difficult to say how much benefit GutWerks provides since it's nearly impossible to "prove' a negative.My horse loves GutWerks, he looks great, and his poops are healthy. No gut issues.

Both horses eat it in their feed no issue

One of two supplements that I could find that delivered the appropriate amount of CFU for recolonization without having to feed 4x the daily recommended dose. Great product and palatable.
