USB 3.0 Hub - Tendak USB Hub with 4 USB 3.0 Data Ports + 1 USB Smart Charging Port and Power Supply Adapter with Individual On/Off Port Switches for MacBook, Mac Pro, HDD

I just got a laptop for the first time and I wanted to add some storage potential. This hub gives me four USB 3.0 slots to use. I've filled them all up and I can turn them all on, or off, or on one at a time, using the buttons on the hub. They all work perfectly...at least so far. No one can predict the future though...so far, so good. It wasn't pricey either. It is a powered hub to keep from drawing power from my laptop, but it will work without plugging it in to power too. What more can I say? I like the way it looks. The ports light up with a blue led light when they are "turned on" by their individual button(s). If you're looking for a hub, this one does what it says.

I did not have high expectations for a product with such a low price. I needed a "powered" hub and really did not have the money to spend. This far exceeded my expectations! Sure it looks nice... very nice actually. My system is all blue LED, and this blends perfectly. I used double-sided tape to attach it to the top of my tower. Other than the wires, you'd think it was an original part of the system. But I care much less about the looks than the performance. This hub performs better than I expected! I have not run throughput benchmarks, but I have imaged quite a few drives on it. I am getting about 1 Gbps writes on the drives reading image files from a slow WD Green 6TB storage disk. That far more than I expected. I have 4 or 5 USB 3 flash drives that constantly gave me trouble, not appearing, or disappearing. With this hub, they work perfectly every time! I'm SO happy with this Tendak.

Set up was simple. I plugged the supplied power cord into a wall socket, the USB cord into my laptop, then plugged my accessories into the hub and it was done. I bought the Tendak USB hub mainly to switch back and forth between powered speakers and headphones, but I have also plugged in an older HP LazerJet printer and a Logitech wireless mouse dongle. The hub works as advertised for my simple needs. Construction is all plastic of course which makes for a very light weight product that tips over if all input cords are on one side, but easily solved by placing one usb cord on left then one on the right. The switches are nice and feel like pretty good quality with lights that clearly indicate which port is in use day or night. With the power supply plugged in you get a reasonably fast charge from the dedicated charging port. The Tendak hub was a little more expensive than some of the other hubs I looked at and that will hopefully be justified with long term, trouble free use. I get the impression Tendak has some concern their product lives up to expectations. The hub comes with a power adapter, a card that offers an additional 6 month warranty if you register and an offer of free new product releases. Four stars until proven durability. 22/03/19 Additionally the hub caused some frequent wifi connection issues. This problem corrected itself after I disconnected and reconnected the hub several times and windows 7 finally loaded the required drivers.

I bought this to power a few peripherals in a Photo Booth, i,e, Camera, Printer, Touchscreen. I was concerned about the negative reviews regarding data transfer but decided anyway. Secondary concern was overhearing. The last thing you want at any event is equipment failure which would result in a huge money loss. This was purchased in JAN 2019 and best news is I have not had any issues to date. Very reliable IMO! The lightweight design made it a simple and easy install using velcro, and looks pretty darn cool when powered up. This hub has exceeded my expectations in both performance and durability. I’m still very happy with it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable USB hub.

Just received this item and after plugging in the unit to my pc and then plugging into the hub my 3 external usb hard drives that are powered by the hub they come up just great and are working fine. Just make sure that you are using the power supply that came with the hub to give the hub enough power to run the external hard drives. Great product that I just reordered another one for my other computer and they throwing away the ones I have that don't work. I have just had issues with one of the two I purchased. Three of the ports have gone dead and I have tried on several computers without any luck. But just received an email from the company that they are going to send me another and talk about great customer service they have it.

So my iPhone ran out of storage space on the cloud and on my phone. I didn’t want another subscription (in this economy?) so I looked for solutions on YouTube. I watched a video that suggested this device along with an Apple lightning to usb and an external storage device. It works perfectly! The whole setup including 2T storage cost me about $130 but I’ll save a bunch over a subscription. I’m pleased with this setup

I can't speak to the performance of the hub since I only had it plugged in for a few minutes. Unfortunately, when I plug a powered device into the hub, it makes a very high-pitched whining noise. I purchased this device to use with audio recording equipment, so that was a deal breaker for me. It's possible that the noise was too high-pitched to be captured by my recording equipment, but I think it would still be distracting, regardless. I don't know if the hub I received is faulty or if they all have this issue.

Bought this bcoz by some miracle my super ancient Macbook Pro was still working, but had limited ports. And I wanted to hook it up to 2 monitors for a more comfy working from home set up. But I ran out of ports for a floating keyboard, a mouse and something else. So I bought this. I'm not technically savvy, I connected this to the Macbook and everything else connected to it, so it did what I needed so I'm a happy customer! Thank you! Highly recommended! Note: sincecthen, RIP the Macbook but the product is still going strong!! Please no judgement on my dust collecting product. I'm allergic to dust :)
