High quality, works well
This adapter works perfectly for old Canon FD lenses. The aperture ring has worked on all the lenses I’ve tried (extension tubes also worked). Some lenses don’t require the adapter’s “lock” ring to be turned, like the 50mm f/1.4 SSC with the breech lock, but the ones that do need to be locked work as expected. Of course, make sure to turn the lock ring to “open” before changing lenses. This adapter does NOT come with any front or rear caps. (If you plan on leaving this adapter attached to one lens, you’ll want that rear lens cap to keep it sealed, and clearly you can’t use your FD rear cap unless you detach the adapter between uses.) It’s made of what seems to be good quality metal, not very heavy. It attaches to my A7 IV solidly without any slack. Lenses also do not have any slack. And for extra clarity, this adapter has no need for glass because the flange distance on the E mount is shorter than the FD mount. Also, there are no electronics here so don’t expect that “A” mode on your FD aperture ring to work. Usually when you use stuff like this or switch to manual focus, Sony bodies will automatically turn on focus peaking. You’ll definitely want that feature enabled so you can focus accurately. So far I’ve had no problems with focus at all. I was originally looking at a more expensive FD to E adapter, but honestly this one has worked perfectly and intuitively so far.

Works exactly as intended!
I can't believe this adapter was only $15 (at the time of my purchase). I was skeptical at first but after opening it and getting to use the adapter I can say it is worth the money! The lenses are nice and secure with no wobble whatsoever. I'm using it to adapt my vintage Canon FD lenses to my new Sony E mount camera. It works exactly as advertised. Pictures are coming out sharp and I'm happy I get to use my old lenses without pulling out the film cameras. Of course there is no auto focus but the old lenses don't have it anyway. 10/10 would recommend!

Tricky to operate but works well
Can be a little confusing at first though I did come to find out my lens was broken after trying a different one in the adapter. Make sure the bayonet is on the correct side before attaching to your camera or the lens may fall off the adapter.

Well Constructed Adapter!
The Fotasy adapters are all metal and well constructed. Very snug fitting when mounting onto my camera. Can't thank you enough for such a good quality product for a cheap price. These adapters bring forgotten lenses back to life! Plan to purchase more every time I come across vintage lenses!

Works exactly how it's supposed to!
Does exactly what I need! Also I see a few reviews mentioning the aperture ring not working, I promise you, they just don't know how to use it. The aperture rings work on all of my lenses even more newer automatic ones. It's easy to put on and remove, lens for snugly, not too heavy, extremely portable and fits right into my pocket unlike the other adapters like the PL ones haha. I support it! I'll probably buy the Minolta one next, I'm using the Canon FD one. Honestly I have no cons, I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Works great and fits both full frame and aps-c mounts
This fixes the issue that the next version had with not fitting on my A7RII. This version of the adapter fits both the full frame e-mount (my A7RII) and the aps-c (my a6000....gateway emount). I used the NEX/aps-c version for a couple years and this has the same build quality. I would assume this would be just as good long term. Definitely buy this version if you have full frame or ever want to upgrade to full frame.

Fits on Sony a5100 camera!
I have a Kiron 28-105mm f/3.2-4.5 Macro Lens I bought from a GoodWill and thanks to this adapter it fits perfectly on my Sony a5100. Pictures look great and lens feel stable. Thanks so much!

Quality control may be your issue.
I bought three of these to use with legacy Canon FD lenses. When placing them on the lens, you must make sure the pin protruding in the barrel of the adapter holds the aperture activator thingy (yes, that's a technical term) in order to manually control the aperture. Otherwise, the aperture ring will have zero effect and the lens will remain wide open. Two of the FD-A7II adapters I ordered worked fine, just requiring the smallest amount of finesse to align the pin and lever. However, the third was fatally flawed. The pin inside the adapter had been drilled and mounted in the wrong location, a rather extreme factory/manufacturing error. I don't recommend against this product, but I do recommend inspecting and testing it as soon as it arrives and is still eligible for a return.
