With a little help this is amazing and so much so, no one would know it's keto!That said, I do doctor it up with: (bake it accordingly, meaning a wee bit longer)1 tsp powdered espresso1 tbls of dark unsweetened cocoa1 tsp of chocolate and 1 tsp vanilla extract1 tbls of Torani sugar free chocolate sweetener (any brand/flavor in the vanilla/chocolate range would work)OH YEAH! I made a keto chocolate cream cheese frosting and it took it over the top! So so good, I can't say enough about it. Why it took me so long to try the cake is beyond me. I've always used the brownies and the banana bread, but this is so much better!I will say, I don't think it's uber keto. I don't think a lot of products that claim to be are actually keto, unless you're mainly eating meat haha. I think it's the fake kind of keto but for those of us who never eat sugar/honey/nadda, this is the bomb. In my life, I mainly do the Carnivore Diet 95% of the time as it suits me well, but when I want to gift myself a widdo treat, I love this brand and this cake has moved to the top of the heap... *swoonsville*.

The media could not be loaded. The taste was phenomenal ! Not too sweet but just right! I made this cake for a diabetic friend! I Split the batter into two pie pans and made a small layered cake! Because I‘m on keto I made frosting out of cream cheese (cream cheese plus monkfruit/stevia plus lemon juice)For both the batter and frosting I added some organic pure lemon juice instead of lemon zest and it was sooooo good!I had several friends who weren‘t cake people really like the taste and asked for seconds!The taste and texture were great and easy to work with when layering and shaving the cake for frosting!the mix is quite small but 7people had adequate pieces and we had some left over for seconds!

A day or two in the frig - almost tastes like a brownie.11/11/19 - So I used this mix again and made my other half a birthday cake, Chewbacca Cake with sugar free icing! I did order two making it $20.00 in just the batter alone to make a keto friendly birthday cake. Came out tasting great though I had to stash it in the frig in plastic for two days before I could decorate it.9/30/19 - I'm going to give this 4 stars for excellent taste, moist, and other family members could not tell it was Keto. It does make a VERY small cake layer for $9.99. So I am taking away a star for the size compared to price. Honestly, I have a birthday coming up for my other half who is 100% keto and homemade recipes hadn't gone so well so was seeing what I could purchase. I would have to purchase 3 mixes to make his cake. :O

This is the first review 8 have ever written on any product on Amazon in my 9 or 10 years of shopping on Amazon. I recently started a ketogenic diet and I was desperately craving a piece of cake and I ordered this on a whim in an attempt to satisfy that craving (and it did not disappoint) OMG this was so much better than i thought it would be. It is a moist cake and has a very natural flavor. I gave some to my mom who also loved it and my hubby wont stay out of the pan :). I am very pleased with this cake and I am excited to try more products from this company! Thanks for a wonderful product!!!

It was too sweet with the artificial sweetener they added for me. For most people that don’t eat sugar they don’t need a lot of sweetness to taste it, so if this cake mix is marketed for people who usually are off of sugar and artificial sweeteners (except for on special occasions or only natural sweeteners), this sweetness is overpowering. I also over cooked it in my convection oven and it still did not solidify until I put it in the fridge and the texture was still odd. I tried two packages and it didn’t work for me. But years ago tried the chocolate cake one and it was fine.

Sum: weird taste, bad instructions or product, and paid more than I should have.More: Really wanted to love this product. But.... I followed the frosting instructions precisely, cooking over low heat. After stirring for over 30 minutes, the mixture was not "thick, and white"--rather clear, runny, and amber colored and I was getting suspicious. Checked the temperature with my candy thermometer and sure enough it had reached 200F....so I quit cooking and let cool to room temperature per instructions. Shoot! It hardened into a weird, hard opaque disk. Somewhere between "soft crack" and "hard crack" candy stages. No way that was getting blended with butter. Heated the pan to get out the disk.Nibbling the disk was reminiscent of a hard crack fudge. With no flavor except that unpleasant erythritol cooling flavor. I ate the whole thing anyway. Then I had diarrhea all night. Yes I'm an idiot desperate for anything sweet.To top it off, the ingredients on this "mix" is: "Wondrose Sugar Replacer". Which you can buy for the same price but has 10.5oz, vs. 8.1oz as in this repackage. Don't I feel like a dummy.

This is a AWESOME treat for the low carbers! The texture is a cross between a cupcake/ muffin. I just slabbed some butter on a warm cake and I floated in pleasure 😍. The chocolate is subtle so given your mood you may want to add extras to have that extra pop. I will be trying all of their products after this buy. No more carbrite brownies, hard to bake and never come out the exact same. Favorite baked low carb snack to date!! Update!!!! I am kinda disappointed by the taste after a couple of days sitting in a container on counter. Tasted of chemicals. But still the best out of warm oven.

These brownies are very flavorful. I was hesitant since anything for a keto diet or low-carb diet is usually dry and crumbly. I was pleasantly surprised of the flavor, how easy it is to spread, and taste. After making these I ate one fresh from the oven. It was flavorful and did not crumble. They are wonderful chilled in the refrigerator. My husband ate one thinking it was a regular brownie. And when I told him it was actually a diet brownie he was very surprised. He stated it taste just like a regular brownie. I will be purchasing this again.
