You don't have to be a sharpshooter to make this work, but it could help
If this simple device seems a bit hard to figure out, you're not alone. It took me a while to master the logistics of how to position it so that those pricey eye drops hit your eye, not your cheek. Now, after much trial and error, the drops hit my eye 95% of the time, and that's why I'm giving this device 5 stars—even though I'd like to punish it with 1 star for the self-doubt I suffered along the way.Maybe I'm eye-dropper challenged, or maybe something's wrong with my face, because I can't see how to make it match the diagram on the box with the "extended edge next to your cheek." If you can't either, don't worry. Just experiment with how to fit the keyhole around the bottle—that's really important. One reason it's tricky is because the threads on the bottle are NOT straight, so how the hell are you supposed to position it STRAIGHT in the AutoDrop? I don't know either, but just persist. It's another frustrating part of making this device work, but hang in there, because if you don't secure the bottle in the keyhole, it could suddenly pop out. As you watch it roll across the floor and contaminate itself, there goes all meaning and purpose in life. But don't give up. Keep trying and you'll find the sweet spot where the bottle rests straight and secure. It seems that once the bottle and the AutoDrop get to know each other, somehow they work it out ;-)The next challenge is how to position the AutoDrop against your face. Experiment and try to remember that you really are a good person. I find that if the lower edge of the AutoDrop is close to the bottom of my eye, it works best, but it may be different for you. If you can't find the right position and your $50 eye drops end up on your cheek, keep trying. Like sharpshooting, this is an acquired skill. Be sure to locate the pinhole, high and to your right. If you can manage to look through that as you squeeze the bottle, it helps the drops find your eye.The point is that if you feel challenged by this simple device at first, rest assured that it does work and you will figure it out. After all, it's just a cheap piece of plastic with none of your human potential. So what if it challenges both your intellect and motor skills? Once you get to know it, you may, like me, be glad you gave it a chance.

It's easy, quick and efficient
It works exactly as it is described. I just had eye surgery so I have to put 3 different drops in my eyes every 2 hours and 1 bottle is $172 a bottle! So I don't want to miss even 1 drop! All you do is unscrew your drop bottle cap, put it in the indented opening, close it. Center it over your eye and pull your lower lid down just slightly, look through the cap into the little hole and put the drop in.It's easy, quick and efficient!

Excellent aid for eye drop users.
What a fabulous inexpensive aide for anyone who has difficulty putting in eye drops. these should be available as a patient service in any optical or Eye Doctors office. Eye medications and even lubricating over the counter eye drops expensive. If you are getting more drops on your face that in your eyes, try one of these Mumford Autodrop Eye Guides.Following the instructions especially tilting your head back, gently pulling down your lower lid and looking up through the hole are important steps. With just a bit of practice, you will be getting more medication in your eyes instead of your face and much less likely to contamination the dropper tip by touching your eyelids or hurting the surface your eye.

The best eye drop assistant!
My father in law is 83 and blind in one eye. He suffers from glaucoma and must put drops in his eyes twice a day to relieve the pressure. He was exhausting his prescriptions early because of all the drops that landed on his face instead of his eyes.Enter this little miracle. Now every single drop goes exactly where it’s supposed to, administering his eyedrops is no longer a stressful hassle for my father in law, and now he’s not running out of eye drops before he’s eligible for a refill.Highly recommended tool for anyone who has trouble with eyedrops.

If you can't tilt you head all the way back, you can't use this.
My 83 year old mom has a lot of problems getting eyedrops in her eye. The problem with using the Eye Guide is that you have to be able to tip your head completely horizontal so that the drops will be able to drop straight down into your eye. My mom really doesn't have the dexterity to tip her head back that much, so this is pretty useless for her needs. She has to continue to just tilt back in her seat has much as she can (maybe 45 degrees) and put a drop in the corner of her eye and hope it goes in. Now if they invented something that allow you to squirt eye drops while sitting upright, that would be something that would help.

Useful
This works well. However, would suggest a better picture for instructional use. Also, if your bottle of drops is hard plastic to squeeze, I recommend also buying the part you can use with this to make squeezing a hard plastic bottle easier to administer.

Hate eye drops
I bought this to use for before and after eye surgery. I hate eye drops, but this was not comfortable for me to use, just faster to use the eye drop bottle. I gave it to my sister, she loves it! So to each their own. It is a good product, I just did not like using it.

Good for beginning eyedrops or single use bottles.
I bought this product to try to help my mom with eye drops for upcoming cataract surgery. It worked well at placing the drops in the eye easily, I think it would be helpful, even if only initially to get used to having drops placed in your eye. I gave this product 3 stars for the difficulty recapping the bottle and keeping the eye dropper sterile. It is such a small space that you either need very nimble fingers, or you need to remove the bottle from the guide after each use. In our case, with decreased vision in both eyes, it wasn't possible to maintain the sterility of the drops and recap or remove from the guide.
