20W Cool White LED Wall Pack Wash Flood Light Spotlight Outdoor 90V - 240V AC High Quality Chip

I got this to reaplce the power-hungry 150x2 halogen security light that I installed after someone stole our grill last year. I'd say this is as bright as a 150 watt hqi metal halide fixture. The spectrum is pretty blue, but not too bad. Probably about a 14k spectrum. The Good: -Bright. It's not as bright as my 150x2 was, but it is bright enough to light up our entire backyard (20'x 35') and spill into our neighbors yard. -Efficient. We are surely going to save enough for this light to pay for itself in a matter of months The Bad: -No insturctions. Here's a hint. The green wie with the red stripe is a dummy ground wire. Blue is negative, yellow is positive. It never hurts to take off the 4 screws and verify it, though. The Ugly: -The bracket didn't fit my traditional round mount, so I had to ghetto rig the light on the old fixture where one of the halogen lamps used to be. Not a big deal to me, but it probably is for people who aren't mechanically inclined or who want a 100% plug and play fixture. If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. I'm getting another one to try out on my coral reef tank.

very bright. requires installation of a grounded, 3 prong plug and also reading a wiring charts to get polarity of wires correct. I wonder if the bad reviews are from people who got the polarity reversed. wire colors don't match the 110v US green-white-black, however, once you research the mapping of the lights wires to your needs - it's a GREAT DEAL. We have one of these on each of our 30+' royal palms and they illuminate the whole canopy. It's been over a month now with our salty-beachside sprinkler water on them and no issues (I did silicone over all screws-metal). Nothing blinking. I even got a few as work lights inside the garage -- much better than a regular 60W bulb.

I have been using this light for about 2 months using a motion sensor to turn it on and off and it works flawlessly. I particularly like the fact that it comes on bright instantly in cooler temps, unlike CFL's that have to warm to obtain max brightness. I hope it will do this during the winter months as well. One thing I didn't expect is that this thing is "bright". Using it in the driveway pointed at the drive at a longer angle makes it a little hard to see the garage when backing up. I probably will reposition this lamp to shine more from the side of the drive. Power consumption is not even an issue and if it works well all winter I will purchase another for another area. NEW INFO.......as soon as the temperature in my area dropped below freezing this light would not stay on...it continued to flash at a rate of about once a second which makes this light USELESS IN COLD WEATHER....DOES anyone in Florida or Arizona need a light?........Maybe Hawaii??? GRRRRRRR Don't buy if you are planning to use this in cold (below 30 degrees) weather. I know I won't buy another.

First, let me say, I got mine from 7brothers, and the ones that they sold me, while look like the ones in the pictures, are not the same brand that I got. changed brand names? That is very common for cheap, china stuff.. or maybe same product, just got one in with this brand instead of another? but maybe same product? Good possibility. In any case, the product I got, like I stated before, looks exactly like what is pictured, but are Hakkatronics brand. At least, I think that is how it is spelled. The labels on them are so poorly printed, that it is hard to read. I have bought the GLW brand before, and pretty much everything about these, is just like the GLW brand, with a few exceptions. They still have short cords (less then a foot), they still have cheap metal in what the frame is made out of, and still have the power inverter on the insides, hot glued into place, and the power lines still go right into the inverter with no junctions or places where wires connect. One straight solid line. but, some of the things changed are good and bad. For example, the power cord, on my GLW brand, was a 0.75mm, or 18 gauge wire, on this one is 0.50mm, or 20 gauge.. that is very small wire. to give comparison, a standard cheap 2 prong extension cord is 16 gauge, or about 1.25mm, and standard house wiring is 12 gauge, or over 3mm in thickness. This is only 2 times as thick as the power cord in a phone cord.. Not very thick. Some other things that they changed in this version too are that they actually grounded the ground cord to the frame. The GLW brand ones I got did not have the ground cable connected to anything. The brackets to mount the light are about the same, same cheap screws and construction. One one of the ones I got, I had to open up the front to clean it out. The reflector that is around the LED, the spots on the corner that are punched out so that they can screw the reflector into place... Well, one of those punch outs were sitting right on top of the LED itself, so I had to open up the front to remove it. I bought 3 lights, two 20 watt, and one 30 watt.. all were made the same, same brand and build. Another thing that was changed was the power usage. On the GLW brand ones I got, a 30 watt one only ran at 21 watts, and the 20 watt one I got, ran at 14.5 watts. These one, both wattage's, both ran within 1 watt of what they were advertised to be. so the power usage on these were actually pretty accurate.. One last thing that I did not like on these.. Both, the 20 and 30 watt ones, both had one screw in it that was just about stripped out, that held the back cover into place. It is not a bad light, nor a good one. I think I would think more highly if they did not put such cheap, thin power cords on it. Considering it does not use much power, it is not huge thing, but the fact that they expect you to hard wire these into a junction box, they should have thicker cords to do it. and longer ones too. Overall, I think this is one of those situations that you get what you pay for. You order a cheap light, you get a cheap light. So considering the price, I really can not complain too much, which is why it is getting 4 stars. If it cost more, I would have given a lower star rating, but they work. Only time will tell how long any of them last. And as for being waterproof.. I have no idea how good it is. they are being mounted inside of a garage, so they should not be getting wet.. so that is not a big deal for me. So far, yes I am happy with the purchase.. but only time will tell good they are.

The good news is that it appears to work so far. The bad news is that the workmanship is horrible. Because there was a piece rattling inside the light, I decided to open it up. They crammed an AC-to-DC transformer into the back compartment without bothering to tie it down. The transformer barely fits into the back compartment and protection of the wires is non-existent. Mine did come wired with a 2-prong plug on the end of the cord so I did not have to figure out the wire color code. I purchased this for outdoor use but now seeing how the rubber gaskets don't fit right and the back compartment is cracked, I think I will only use this indoors. The box ships directly from China with no paperwork so just hope it works when you get it.

I have purchased three of these total but from different sellers due to buying at different times. The light put off of these is very good, not quite 150W flood lamp equivalent but maybe closer to 100W. I have them on the front corner of my house and hey do great at lighting up whats in front of them. out of the three one died after about a month or two. Each one I bought came with a different length of presupplied cable. Some have about 18", some had about 10" Pros... -VERY cost effective. cheap to buy, cheap to operate. -Bright light, thats looks good IMO. Unlike that amber/yellow flight some floods give off. -Easy to install, just search online for Europe to American electrical color code. Cons... -Reliability, the main reason it got three starts is because one out of three of mine died. -The reflective backing, is NOT so reflective, wish it was more mirrored as it would spread light better. -How hard would it be to include a piece of paper showing the American conversion for the color code? I would still buy again for $30. You save more then that annually in electric if you run this all night like I do... UPDATED - MAY 2015, OVER TWO YEARS OF USE. Maybe the one I got two years ago that stopped working was just a random bad apple because after over two years of use every night these two are still working fine. Also they are only $13 now. I would still recommend. The picture I added is how I set them up and they have two years of bugs on and around them with he exception of those cleaned off occasionally.

I ordered even though seeing a few bad reviews. I used it to replace my porch light. Tired of climbing up ladders to change bulbs and only lit up doorway. I cut the plug and hardwired. European wiring but just a couple color changes. Flipped it on and it lights up doorway and half the driveway. Perfect for what I needed. and its so much brighter I dont forget to shut porch light off anymore.

Other than having to buy misc parts to install it correctly with a motion detector and a weather proof cover plate Im completely satisfied with this flood lamp. It provides usable night lighting for the entire area next to my 30 shop where I back my trailer into. It probably throws out as much light as my old 300w Halogen and uses a tenth of the power to do it. Im a happy camper.
