Old Tech - Flakey Drivers
We'd hoped that his device would help us transfer roughly sixty hours of video during a two-day five camera shoot. Due to their slow transfer speed, we needed two units to get the video transferred as fast as the memory cards were needed back in the cameras.They did not come with drivers, and only 32-bit Windows XP drivers are available via download.During the shoot, we experienced constant crashes during the transfers, and lost a lot of the video and audio files. This added days to the post, as the editors had to work around corrupted files.We would NOT buy these again.

Works on Panasonic P2 cards
Installed two of these in two different towers. Both worked and only needed the drivers for the Panasonic P2 cards that I used them for. Two comments: I don't know what's up with the large slot, because I only need the bottom half and accidentally inserting the card into the top got it stuck in there. Also, I agree with some other reviews in that the dual-PCI ribbon cable needs to be longer. I had to order different cables for the second computer I installed this into.
