I contemplated buying a camouflage cover for a couple years. I am a wildlife photographer, and I have noticed many birds have been frightened as I lifted up my camera. I hope this cover will really help, as I have only used it once since I installed it. I found it very easy to install but I will probably have to modify it so I can use the switches on the lens. The plastic windows will need to be cut out a little. I believe the company did the best they could because of all the moving parts on the lens. The piece that goes on the telephoto cylinder is put on with velcro, and has to be taken off when you want to go less than 400mm. This is a hassle, but I think this is the only way they could make it. I believe this sleeve comes in 8 separate pieces to cover the whole lens. The only thing I wasn't happy with, is the price. It is quite pricey, but I wouldn't care to try and make one. I do recommend buying this for that expensive lens. It will really protect your lens and help one to get a better shot of a close birds.

I’m a full time photographer and use the 100-400 mkii 75% of the time. This Lenscoat has definitely done its job protecting my investment. I shoot 90% outside under harsh conditions so the cover protects the lens from the elements. Ordered a second one because after 2 years it’s beat up. Great product though. I gave a 4 because the cost is a tad high.

I got this cover for bird photography. I had my doubts about the value, now that I have it in hand there are no more doubts. The fit is perfect. They have included extra bits for different lens generations. The camo color is also perfect. I can now hide in the bushes like a bird ninja popperazzi. Ha, caught you eating worms on film (actually an SD card). I’m super excited to be one step closer to invisibility. I will surely be adding more Lens Coat products to my kit.

The Lenscoat was easy to install, covers the light color of Canon’s 100-500mm, and provides protection from abrasion. No adhesives, no glue, no heat shrinking, nothing to interfere with the zoom or focus.

This is cover is a nice idea but in reality it is a bit different. First the price is excessive. Secondly the instructions are hard to access. I tried three times to access their site via the code with no success. Having said that it's relatively obvious how to install it but still a bit of a struggle. Lastly it precludes the use of the zoom which seems to me to be a deal killer

Not sure what I really expected but this product is only okay. It was difficult to put on and the directions were rather vague. The cover for the area of the lens that racks out during zooming only works if the lens is racked out to 400 and it is smethiing that is rather easily lost.

I have several of the Lens Coats for all my way to expensive to get scratched lenses. This one fits near the best and does not slow me down on doing work. Also, makes you less of a target for robbery, the white lens just advertises "knock me over the head and steal my $2200 lens, and keeps you, in general, less noticed by wildlife and people you want to capture.

Putting skin on a lens with so many moving parts and switches is very difficult. LensCoat did the very best at providing a decent and functional fit to a complicated lens as the 100-400. I use it for protection and it will do the job. Others have complained about fit but there is no way to do a better job with this kit on this type of lens.

Still working well, had this sometime now. So I feel it is time for a review. This fits well, keeps its shape and doesn’t mind getting a bit damp. Good product

Diese Tarnung ist ganz nett gemacht, aber: Das Zoom-Objektiv kann mit der Tarnung, dem sleeve, nicht mehr zoomen. Das finde gut, wer mag. Ok, es gibt für den ausfahrenden Tubus ein Teil mit Klettverschluss, aber ein Klettverschluss macht beim Ansitz deutlich zu viel Lärm. Das ist kein Ausweg.Ich bleibe bei dem alten grünen T-Shirt. Das sieht lange nicht so professionell aus, tut es dafür aber, ohne die Funktion des Zoom zu tangieren. Und die schwarze Gegenlichtblende muss nicht dringend getarnt sein.

Acquired this to protect my brand-new & expensive "version 2" of the Canon 100-400mm lens. Very happy with it; appears to be of quality manufacture & fits well. Glad to be able to shield my lens from bumps & scratches in the bush while birding and besides .. it makes me almost invisible! 🤣

Le meilleur produit sur le marché, complet, rien ne manque, neoprene de haute qualité, coutures parfaites, ajustage idem.D’ou le prix. Sans concurrent....maus pour proteger un objectif de 3500€, c’est indispensable.

EF100-400mmの装着しましたが、ピッタリ装着できないカ所があり値段の割に残念です。
