It's Charcoal, I set it on fire and it burnt, dont know why it wanted me to rate the flavour as I didn't eat it, imagine it tastes like charcoal, if it tastes like chicken then I would be pleasantly surprised

Big chunks. Burns well. Not sure of the term restaurant grade but does the job as one would expect for a bbq.

Great charcoal. I used it for both direct and indirect cooking on my Weber kettle drum bbq. The coals were hot enough to effectively sear the meat and get rid of the excess fat. They were also long lasting enough to cook a v large beef rib for 1hr40mins indirectly. Clean burning, and provide a subtle smokey taste to the meat. Large difference when compared to other lump wood charcoal I have found. Will buy again.

Good size of charcoal that burnt well but there is only 4KG in the bag - this should be stated in the product details

This charcoal is excellent. The best I have ever used. Lights quickly, and keeps the heat for ages.

Super value

One of the problems with this is that it is a 4kg bag whereas virtually every other product on the same page is 10kgOne of the answers to the question of the bag size reports that it is a large bag because the pieces inside a large lump wood charcoal - well that was certainly not the case with my bag the largest piece I had in the bag was about the size of my hand and there were very few of these. The bag was full of small tiny pieces best described as charcoal shrapnel.Over the holiday period we wanted to use it so we did and it burned reasonably well but beware this bag is 60% smaller than just about everything else on the same page and it is almost the same price as the 10kg bags but I chose it because it had an Amazon Recommends ticket on it but I won't be making that mistake again.

Burns well, used for both BBQ and open fires.
