Olivebridge Books knows how to do the job!
I just received a book I purchased from Olivebridge Books. I have not read the book yet, but I want to comment on the impeccable way this book was prepared for shipping. It was secured against the elements by being encased in a plastic bag, then placed in a sturdy box made for shipping books. I purchase a lot of books, and most of them are just put in the plastic fold-over bags with no protection. The seller also included the invoice, which is helpful for records and a brief personalized note. Very professional and very classy. I look forward to buying from them again. Peace McElwee

Expansive reading
This volume is as detailed and meticulous piece of research as any I've read in a doctoral thesis.

witty and fast paced
A must read for anyone interested in counter culture NYC in the 1970s through the 1980s.

Not the worst.
This is a shabbily assembled work that is only saved by the shear volume of material within. It is poorly edited to almost the point of unreadability in some cases. Unfortunately, though, this is the only book that documents well the life of Eddie Buczynski, founder of the New York Welsh, New York Wica, and Minoan Brotherhood traditions of contemporary Witchcraft. Hopefully someone else will come along, do a better job, and separate out the growth of Neo-Paganism in New York City from the life of Eddie Bucyznski, as both merit their own volume.

Invaluable For Those Who Love Witch History
Eddie Buczynski was one of America's greatest Witches and Bull of Heaven is one of the greatest books on the history of American Paganism ever published. If you are interested in the early history of the Craft and/or the Pagan movement in the States this book is a must have. It feels a little "gossipy" in places, but in the best way possible! Gossip was a part of the early Pagan scene in New York too!

Historically fascinating...
As someone from the same era but in a different part of the country, but dealing with many of the same issues, very interesting book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very little is about gay witchcraft. Most of it ...
Very little is about gay witchcraft. Most of it has to do with the witchcraft scene of the time (and the mostly hetero politics therein). Just get Margot Adler's book and pass this one up.
