Delights from the Garden of Eden: (abbv., Second Edition)

Excellent i wish i could afford the 1 st edition ($600) but hey i am happy with the ($60) one i got ! It is a lovely well written cooking book with history and tales of spices and people, you can almost smell the spices with pleasure !

OmG I love this book. My in-laws bought it for me when we first got married over 28 yrs. ago so I can learn to cook Iraqi dishes. I love all the stories of ancient Mesopotamians battling the buldge, stopping over for a snack but over staying their welcome and staying for dinner. I enjoy reading the history and imagining the shops, pots, beef tripe and tools she describes.

My favorite book I love the stories and the information in this book. If you like history and cooking this is your book . The photos are amazing too .
