The front car lights up and makes train noises. The doors don’t open; the side details are actually stickers. We bought two sets to get a longer train and additional track, and it does slow the train down quite a bit. Please don’t expect anything extravagant; it’s a $30 plastic train. This subway set only runs on the tracks that are supplied with this train set and NOT with the Thomas train set which is wood. The two trains are 2 different sizes.
