Update to review: great customer service! Came defective and smelling of smoke
The original horses head was only able to be secured backwards. I contacted customer service, and although this process took a few weeks, they sent me a brand new horse, and it assembled correctly. I did not have to pay any additional fees. I will say this is an awesome product! I am 140 pounds and was able to ride it without an issue. My five year old daughter loves it! Her 6 and 8 yr old cousins love it too! They all want to come over to ride it! My daughter rides it daily and is pretty aggressive with it. It seems to “break in” over time but certainly is not broken. Very durable and worth the money.

Great!
4-year update—still doing great! My son is now 7 and he still fits this pony cycle and has no problems with it. I guess it won’t be long now before he outgrows it. It will be a sad day when he does. He rides it less often now, but still enjoys it, and I love seeing him play with this non-electronic toy!2-year update—still great! No issues, holding up well. We’ve had this a year now and I’m impressed with the quality. It’s very fun for my 5-year-old horse-loving son. He insisted on a white horse because his favorite horse that he rides in real life is white (gray), but all the other white ponycycles are unicorns, which is not what we wanted. This has a cute face, and despite arriving rather crunched up in the packaging, it fluffed back out very nicely and has held up very well. My son isn’t constantly on it but he rides it pretty frequently, he feeds her fake carrots and fake apples, lays her down and covers her with a blanket for a nap and cuddles her on the living room floor (which is a bit tricky, lol), and he puts her away in her “stall” at night (a little nook at the end of the kitchen). He’s even gotten me to the point where I say good morning to Kippy and give her a scratch behind the ears, lol. I’m really thrilled I was able to find exactly what he wanted, and at a decent enough price (Grandma paid for half). There’s no bike seat on this one, which is perfect. It’s still plenty easy to operate—even on our Berber carpet— and it is closer to a real horse than the kind with the bike seat, so my son’s horsey imaginings aren’t limited. Although he still fits on his rocking horse, he chooses to ride this 99% of the time—just plain more fun at his age. I don’t think the cover zips off, despite there being zippers on the legs—idk how we’d ever get it all the way off or back on, but we have rules not to have food or art materials near Kippy, and the few times I’ve noticed smudges on her, they have wiped off easily enough. I’m really very happy with this!

Gift for 11 y/o horse-obsessed girl!
I really really really did NOT want to buy this for my daughter for her 11th birthday but this is all that she wanted. Since it was similar to the price of two real horse riding lessons that I was planning to give her, she convinced us to buy it for her. I thought that she was too big for this and would be too old for a toy like this. But for three weeks now, this has been her baby. She lovingly brushes him, saddles him, and even ropes objects while riding him. When he is tied up for a rest, she does her homework while seated on him. We chose this model because an adult can ride him (my neighbors laugh at me when I hop on him). The pedals hurt to use without shoes and it is a bit of a workout (which is good for my daughter!). She has figured out a way to go really fast but I suspect littler kids wouldn't be able to move too quickly (though you can "skate" with us with your legs and not use the pedals. This may not be for everyone, but we are surprisingly happy with it. It is cute and solidly made and withstanding hours of daily riding by our daughter (and safer than a real horse!)

Dream toy for my daughter
My 9 year old loves it. No assembly required so she was able to ride it out of the box. Saddle is removeable. Everything is super soft and seems well made. It has rollerblade like wheels and moves almost like an elliptical. She rides it in circles around the house. Head is a bit small for the body but she hasn’t noticed and doesn’t care. Does not have brakes and cannot go backwards even to push but can be pulled or pushed forward. Popular among the kids who come over. Perfect size for her - tall and skinny for her age but can handle bigger kids too. I would have loved this as a kid. They are only this age for so long so in my mind worth the money. So glad they come in this size. The other options on here seemed too small.

Sturdy but has a hole above the tail
It is very sturdy and is big enough for my 9 year old but it came with a tear right above the horses tail which is just getting bigger and bigger the more she gets on it. It would be great without the tear especially since this item is not cheap!

It's a hit!
The media could not be loaded. Very popular item when visitors come over. My 8 yr daughter loves it! Easy to assemble too!!

Dreams full filled
Pure joy and happiness abounded when there was a knock on Nana’s door on Christmas evening. My granddaughter was delirious with excitement when she opened the door to “Cupcake”. She is totally in love. That wonderful horse made all of our hearts soar. He is now a member of the family and will be cherished for her whole childhood.

Parts broken. Very disappointed.
I ordered this for my son’s 5th birthday. He was looking forward to this horse. The metal part was broken and not able to put the horse’s head on. My son is very sad. I can’t believe his birthday has been ruined.
