Copper Pipe Prep Made Easy โ Simple Tool That Just Works
Copper Pipe Prep Made Easy โ Simple Tool That Just Works This is one of those small, inexpensive tools that ends up being surprisingly useful if you do any kind of plumbing or metal work. I picked this up mainly for prepping copper pipes before fittings, and it does exactly what itโs supposed to doโno fuss, no learning curve. The 120 grit hits a nice balance. Itโs aggressive enough to clean oxidation, paint, or light corrosion off copper quickly, but not so rough that it gouges or damages the pipe. After a few passes, you get that clean, shiny surface you want for a good sealโespecially important if youโre using push-to-connect fittings or doing any soldering. What I really like is the cloth backing. Compared to regular sandpaper, itโs more flexible and wraps easily around pipes, which makes the job faster and more controlled. You can tear off exactly what you need, and a little goes a long way. The waterproof aspect is also legitโIโve used it in slightly damp conditions and it doesnโt fall apart like cheap paper-backed sandpaper. For DIY projects, HVAC work, or basic metal cleanup, this is just a solid, dependable item. Itโs also cheap enough that you donโt feel bad cutting off a fresh strip every time. A couple things to keep in mind: Itโs really designed for metal, not wood or delicate surfacesโthis grit would be too rough for finishing work. Also, since itโs a roll, thereโs no dispenser, so youโll just be tearing pieces manually. Not a big deal, but worth noting. Bottom line: Simple, effective, and very affordableโif youโre doing any plumbing or metal prep work, this is one of those must-have basics that makes the job easier.

Great Value
Used this to prep copper pipe for sweat soldering. I only had to use less than 8 inches of this to clean up eight 1 inch copper pipe connections. After all the sanding, the emory cloth was still in good shape and could've done more if I needed. Works great for cleaning up dirty copper pipes and to debur copper pipes too if you don't have a deburring tool. Although if you use this to debur copper pipe, it will take a lot longer than using a deburring pen. Follow up with a scotch brite pad and the copper is ready for flux.

Great quality, waterproof emery!
Excellent for plumbing work. Does a quick job of cleaning copper piping and it is waterproof so it doesn't fall apart when wet.

Helped cleaned me pipes!
Let's be real, I'm not exactly what you'd call "handy." More like the type of person who contemplates calling a professional to change a lightbulb. But, armed with a roll of EZ-FLO Waterproof Emery Cloth, I've discovered a hidden talent... or at least the ability to not completely ruin things around the house. This magical sandpaper-y roll has become my secret weapon for tackling rusty eyesores and achieving a level of shine I didn't think possible. Here's why it's my new best friend: The Versatility Factor: Whether it's my grandpa's old toolbox (which looked like it survived an underwater apocalypse), or the sad, tarnished garden gnome I inherited (don't ask), this emery cloth handles it all. Metal, plastic, ceramic โ it laughs in the face of grime! The "Oops" Eraser: I may not be the most graceful DIY-er, but thankfully mistakes are no match for the EZ-FLO. A little sanding and bam! Scratches disappear like teenage crumbs under the couch. Waterproof Wonder: Spills and splashes happen, especially with my track record. This cloth doesn't disintegrate into a soggy mess, ensuring my project AND my sanity stay intact. The Arm Workout I Didn't Ask For: Sure, sanding can make my biceps burn, but the satisfaction of watching that rusty eyesore turn gleam is worth a little soreness. Who needs a gym membership, right? Now, I won't pretend my work is gonna win any awards, but let's just say the neighbors aren't calling the authorities on my questionable "home improvement" projects anymore. Plus, that rusty toolbox? It's now the crown jewel of my garage...well, more like the slightly less embarrassing thing in my garage. Bottom Line: If you, like me, exist on the DIY spectrum somewhere between "pinterest fail" and "mildly successful," the EZ-FLO Waterproof Emery Cloth is a lifesaver. It may not make you Bob Vila, but it'll definitely boost your confidence and save you from some truly hideous home improvement disasters.

Good Value. Long Lasting.
I use this emery cloth to sand my dogs toenails flat. I glue a strip of this on each side of an old emery board taken from my wife. After it dries, I trim the width to size. The pup lays there and lets me sand away without issue. Not the case if I try to use clippers or a Dremel like the groomers do. This sands the nails down quickly and doesn't wear out fast like non waterproof brands. (sanding wet nails after they run on the wet lawn is much easier and faster as the nails get softer) A roll lasts me years. Give plenty of treats after each nail while training them that its a Good Thing!!!.
