The picture quality is superb and it picks up every detail with a wide angle of viewing at 170 degrees. I can also move the camera around the room using the arrows on the controller and it’s very responsive. The night vision is very clear albeit in black and white. It also has a handy temperature gauge so I know my baby is comfortable at all times. I’ve moved around various room with the monitor and the signal stays strong regardless of where I am. I’ve even been out in the garden and get full signal. The lullaby have been a life saver on several occasions as they really help soothe my boy.

So before anything let me tell you that customers who post a review (ANY REVIEW) get a choice of gift from Heim (unless this is a temporary offer). When I realised that I became a bit suspicious of the reviews so I decided to give it a try for a couple of weeks before posting and let me tell you this camera is amazing! The night vision is very clear but the day light colour screen is unbelievable! An HD experience. I can hear my baby when she wakes up. She doesn't wake up crying but babbling in a low voice and the camera picks it up! You can also have an alarm system but it was so strong (like it picked up when my baby sighs in sleep!) that I turned it off. I checked the battery and in all fairness it lasts longer than it says. I use it during day time naps only so between 4 to 5h daily. On full charge it lasts me for almost 2 days. However, this was true during the first few days only. Currently still lasts me a day and one entire morning. I had a couple of questions and customer service were great. So WHY 4 STARS? A few things need improving:1. The camera doesn't turn off when the parent unit it turned off. You have to switch it off manually.2. As described above, battery life3. Temperature is off by at least 3-4 °C.4. Sometimes, when I turn the parent unit off and then the camera, the parent unit turns on again stating no camera detected. I have emailed customer service for that as it may just be an issue with mine.All in all, having searched and researched cameras for so long, I am a happy parent and can close all doors and have some time on my own without having to be on 24/7 alert mode!

Unfortunately need to rewrite my review. After not even 5 months of using, monitor started playing up whiles charging, sometimes doesn’t charge at all, sometimes it gets so loud that I have to switch it off! Like this wouldn’t be enough, now the camera stopped working! Seller isn’t responding and I am left with useless monitor. Wouldn’t buy again!!!Update: Amazon kindly accepted my return for a refund. Happy that at least Amazon customer service is still great.

Arrived in a Small white box inside with the camera and the remote control/tablet nicely fitted in a plastic cradle to protect from any damage during transport. It came with a two microUSB cable, two wall charger. User manual included too, well-written easy and understandable language ( i 6 different languages) even for people who are not too tech savvy like me, full with illustration about how to set up and how to use it. Once I Turned on the camera, a small led started to flash on the top to indicate the camera is on. Impressed with the picture quality myself and the sound.I’m really happy with this camera, i was surprised how well works and worth every penny I paid for it. Amazing product and amazing price, I definitely recommend for parents with new born baby.

The quality of the picture and the ease of use are as other reviewers have pointed out, very good. There is a flaw to the design however and that is this: although the camera can look round nearly 360 degrees and pretty much look vertically up, it can only look a few degrees downwards. We, like I would think as most parents, want to keep an eye on the baby in the cot. The camera is going higher than the cot and looking down. This necessitates the use of the small plastic mount that comes with the camera so the camera can be mounted in a sideways position. The mount must be screwed to something in order to facilitate this. This negates the ability to be able to freely move the camera around different rooms. Without the mount the camera has to be positioned either at the same level as the baby or below the baby - not very practical. This design flaw is compounded by the fact that the screw mount for the camera is not the same as a standard camera tripod as with all other cameras I have come across. If it had been we could have used any number of different clamps we have for mounting the camera in different places. We bought it primarily as we are going on holiday and didn't want a camera that relies on wifi. Although this camera will work I'm sure, it's design severely restricts your positioning options. Ideally you'd want to put it up somewhere on a shelf out of the way but you can't because the camera is not able to tilt into a downwards looking position but is perfectly capable of looking upwards to the ceiling!
