Use this as a pre filter for my HOB filter. Keeps the aquarium cleaner and stops any baby fish or shrimp from being sucked into the filter. Works well, does not easily clog up. It does look big in the aquarium.

Perfect. Same quality and description as a reputable YouTuber AND cheaper. I have the sponge attached to the intake tube of my FX6. I removed the large strainer, put a 1-2 inch piece or tubing around the pipe and slid the sponge on enough to cover and catch the extra piece of tubing. The reputable Youtuber did say to not insert the sponge high on the intake tube.

Underperforming does not work well on FX system

The media could not be loaded. For the size the hole should be bigger but it worked for what I needed it stretched just enough so that it fit on my intake

Installed 2 of these inlet filters on my two Emperor 400 hang on the back filters. Setup was easy. I just removed my stock plastic inlets and shoved these in its place. Total time to complete was less than a minute.Now no fry will get sucked up into my emperor and as a bonus it will keep my main filters in my emperor cleaner for longer by keeping fish food and poop from clogging my main filters.

I am using it as a prefilter on my fx6. Fits on the intake nicely. I did trim one side so it sits flat on the back of the tank. Nice and corse it picks up a lot of just before it goes into my filter.
