I bought this for my 16 month old son who has a curiously large head (I think 80th percentile at 12 month, 48.5 cm). All the hats I have tried have been too small for him.Pros:1. You can adjust the size of the hat so that it fits snugly and also it can be tightened so it doesn’t fly off. Of course toddlers will pull it off but there is nothing you can do about that.2. The brim of the hat is very wide so it does protect my son from the sun which is exactly what I wanted.3. The cloth is very light so it doesn’t feel “hot”. I feel like it absorbs the sweat but then dries quickly so on hot summer days it works really well. We used it at the beach but never got it wet so I’m not sure how that would work out.4. It looks very good - I think some hats don’t look very balanced, this one is very nice and the blue color is perfect as it gets on the ground often but the dirt doesn’t show much.Cons:1. The velcro strap is a very strange length. It’s too long so it hangs very loose and doesn’t serve any purpose. I am thinking of sewing on some sort of rubber band straps so it actually holds it. I prefer too long over too short so this is not too big of a problem for us. Maybe it’s for older kids.2. The hat seems a little shallow so it sits on my son’s head and I feel like it will blow off at any moment. The synching makes it stay on. I wish it were a little bit deeper so that it fits better. Maybe my son has a huge head but it sits less than halfway down his forehead.Overall I am very happy about the quality of this hat along with the price so I give it a 5 star rating.

I love these hats. I purchased two for my sons and I was so worried as my eldest son has a larger than average head size for a 7 year old. It fit him beautifully as well as my 3 year old. With the adjuster in the back, this will be a hat they will have for a long time.

I lost the $20 version of this last year and found this one. They are very comfortable and the hat is very wide that my smallest, with sensitive skin, has been able to keep healthy skin during out 7 day trip (also lots of sun screen!) The elastic strings is excellent because I was able to adjust it to each of their head and it was able to stay on their heads when windy. My onlu suggestion is to.make sure the Velcro at the bottom is well adjusted or else it rubs on the bathing suit and pulls the fabric. Other than that, I loved them! Very wide, looks adorable and I won't be sad if I lose them for only $6.

Really great hat. Lovely brim, perfect for my 2.5y/o. Only complaint is the bucket is a bit shallow. Shallow enough that I have to get it on his head *perfectly* or it will fall off. Which is fine, but it can be hard to get a two year old to stand still while you fuss with his hat! Once it's on right, it does stay on with no problems, even in very windy conditions. The elastic adjusts easily, the chinstrap hangs loose, which we prefer as my son doesn't like clothes touching his neck (this includes turtle neck shirts and scarves) though loose the strap if fastened would probably still stop the hat blowing away. My son has a 21" head for reference. For the price though, it's a handy hat!

I live in Utah where summers are hot (about 100 degrees F). Most full brimmed hats we have bought tend to be too heavy and hot for the summer months and my toddler takes them off after a few minutes. This hat is extremely light and comfortable (he kept it on for the entire day!). And unlike other soft, lightweight, hats the brim stays out where it’s needed (doesn’t flop down in front of his eyes). The added vents in the sides also help dissipate the heat and keep him cool (no sweating). I am very pleased with this hat and would recommend it to anyone with a toddler.

We are loving this hat. It has a cinch that easily adjusts the size of the hat for my little boy, which has been helpful. I think this one will last us a long time. I appreciate that the strap to hold it on his head isn't too tight, but it is actually a little too loose and doesn't keep the hat on very long. It would be better to have an adjustable chin strap too. That said, I would still buy this hat again because of the price point and adjustable head part.

Fantastic summer hats for little boys. Lightweight and so not too hot and they dry very quickly. Broad brim. Chin strap to keep it on in the wind in addition to a bungie cord around the head to make it fit smaller heads. I've bought 4 for my two boys - ages 2 and 7 - I just have the bungie pulled tighter for the 2 year old, but if your toddler has a very small head it might be too large (mine has a big noggen :). These are the same hats that we bought at Costco in summer 2015 and at about the same price on Amazon - I was so excited to find them at a great price here!

Bought for an 8yo. His measurements fit within those provided in the product description but, the hat in no way fit. Hat was snug & sat high & chin strap is really short. So make sure your kid is at the middle, or lower end of the measurements. If not the return will cost you half the purchase price and waste the time of you & the retailer.
