I used it with a Large Big Green Egg and it fits perfect. ### ⭐ Have a hose or fire extinguisher handy! *by D***E on September 3, 2018* Worst idea yet from a third party retrofit to a large green egg particularly if you use the natural wood charcoal as recommended. There’s a reason Green Eggs come with a charcoal grate with 1/2” holes. Natural charcoal by its nature is of widely varying sizes. But one constant is pieces crack and slough off as it burns. The holes in the grate that comes with the green egg keeps all but the smallest pieces above the grate allowing for proper air flow and constant heat. This poorly thought out design allows much bigger pieces to fall through to the bottom of the fire chamber below the grate. One drawback is it increases the restriction of airflow. The worst part is the fact hot large pieces fall through and super heat the bottom floor of the Green Egg. I’ve had my Green Egg for over 8 years and frequently run it up to 700+ degrees to sear steaks. Not once have experienced an issue. First time with this grate and it caught my wooden table on fire below the Green Egg despite having it set up on the ceramic spacers that came with the Green Egg to set on in such situations.
