Sunbeam Sonic Egg Ultrasonic Bark Control Device

One of my dogs would bark incessantly when guests were over. I would have to keep her closed in a bedroom to have any chance of conversation with another human being. I tried many training tactics to address this but with no luck. This has been a game changer! The sound interrupts her pattern and after the first couple minutes of someone being here I don't even need it on anymore. It's drastically improved everyone's experience, and she actually chooses to hang out around the guests quietly now.My one warning is that you may forget you have left it on and trigger it with other loud sounds that aren't your dog's fault. I've done this a few times and felt absolutely horrible when I realized what was happening. I'm more aware now, so hopefully I don't do that again. If the company was looking for extra features to include, a timer to turn it off would be useful for doofus' like me.

I tried two of them and and they did not work. Unfortunately, I’m outside of the return window to return them. My neighbors have two dogs that bark all the time and we have a fairly large backyard (50 foot long fence on the neighbor’s side)so I purchased two in order to help prevent barking on two ends of the fence. I thought it was working but then learned that the neighbors were on vacation for two weeks. I was so excited that the eggs were working. Then when they returned from vaca and brought the dogs back, the barking started again. I didn’t realize it wasn’t working and thought the batteries needed to be changed. So I changed the batteries after about 4 days of them “not working” and the new batteries didn’t make a difference. I then thought, maybe it’s the batteries so I bought new batteries and exchanged them again but they still didn’t make a difference in the barking.I’m unhappy that this device takes a while to figure out but that the return window didn’t allow for the time it took to realize the item doesn’t work.

This egg works better than you’d imagine. It’s our second one and just absolutely worth it. I usually only use the low or medium setting and as soon as you turn it on the dogs immediately stop barking. I’ve even hung it on the fence for neighbors dogs that bark constantly. The best part is it’s humane and humans can’t hear it.

I give this four/five stars for one reason only: This is not for all dogs.This product is a TRAINING TOOL you cannot just set it up and expect instant results, if you are expecting instant results this is not the tool for you, you should contact a a trainer for proper training.This did not work for my golden retriever, he kept barking over the product, which made our chiweenie hide in a corner and shake until the noise stopped.I suggest that you properly supervise how your animal will react to this before you put this into use.

This thing seems to work ok, I have noticed that my dogs don’t whine as much. My only complaint is that is very sensitive and will go off at any noise including my children, then they get blasted in the ear by the noise.

My next door neighbors have 2 dogs that never stop barking morning, noon, and night no matter what. I'm at my wits end and thought I would give the Egg a try... It worked for like a day on the smaller one of the dogs but it didn't work at all on the main dog that is the worst barker. I had it on set on high with nothing blocking it but the dogs didn't give a flip. Sending it back.

I was very hopeful for this product. Our dog has become quite the barker of anything that moves outside of a window. This product was recommended but unfortunately worked slightly for five days. Now it doesn’t work whatsoever. In fact, the green light, which is the indicator that it’s working, goes off at any noise. Whether we open the door, run the vacuum, anything it goes off. It is not sensitive to only a dog bark. So perhaps our dog is just numb by it; no way to tell since it’s only supposed to be heard by a dog.

My neighbors were all very happy when the neighborhood barking dog finally stopped. I find a discreet spot to hang it as close to the dog as possible, and so far it works. If the dog starts barking after a few weeks I know I need to replace the battery.
