Aqua Meds Aqua Prazi 50 grams

I just received my shipment and did not use the product yet, so I will adjust the star ratings pending results. However, I was a little concerned regarding the sticker on the front of the bottle as is says "NOT TO BE USED FOR FISH." I also noticed that I did not have any plastic covering or protective seal over the bottle and it was HALF full. I will have a better understanding as to the amount of product once I use it, but has anyone else have this similar experience? ADDENDUM: PLEASE DISREGARD my initial concern regarding bold print that said, "NOT TO BE USED FOR FISH" as I misread the label out of context, as it read "NOT TO BE USED FOR FISH intended for human consumption." I also weighed the bottle and its contents and product was a total of 87 grams, so there was the correct amount of product. I will further update the review once I have used the product. I would like to apologize my inability to read carefully and further apologize for any confusion this review may have caused. FOLLOW UP: This is a follow up to my above MISINTERPRETATION of the bold print. Again, I apologize for MY misread of the label and the company, without making me feel like an idiot, clarified this at a timely manner. More importantly, THIS STUFF WORKS!!! My koi are back to eating and doing great. I do not have microscopic evidence to prove the flukes are gone, but the behavior of my koi are back to normal. 5 STARS!!!

This medicine works wonders. I found out about it a little too late, a few years ago, when my biggest koi kept dying of what seemed to be suffocation, even though for years the ecosystem and water quality had been stable, and well aerated. A random man I happened to get in a conversation with immediately knew. "oh, you had a heron visit your pond this spring, didn't you? they bring in parasites. you gotta get aqua prazi"...so I did. Adding it almost immediately killed the last couple large sufferers who were, honestly, probably going to die no matter what, but at least the didn't suffer any more. the smaller fish, which weren't quite as affected as the big guys were all back to normal within a few days. since then i add it directly to the pond twice a year (once in the spring, once in the fall) to keep any parasite infestations in check, and haven't had any more deaths, despite the occasional heron visits. To make this easier to mix, I've learned to add it to a bit of vodka first, following advice from other koi owners, which helps dissolve it and doesn't seem to affect its potency or the fishes' health in any way. but when the package tells you to shake for 5 minutes straight, they're not exaggerating.

This has become a must stock item for us. Living within 5 miles of a large lake, visiting wildlife will often leave unwanted parasites. My first application had unexpecting results. I anticipated the application to be nothing more than preventative but the KOI became reactive to parasites within a hour and finally calmed down a few hours later. Web sites discuss how challenging it is to prepare the dose so do a little research and see what works best for you. You will likely want a good kitchen scale to measure with.

I hate it when I have to use this stuff, but it definitely works to cure my Koi when they become infected. However, it's a royal pain to get this stuff to dissolve, which it clearly states in the directions. And I'm not thrilled about the cost to treat my 3,300gal pond. But it's saved a bunch of fish both times I've had to use it.

BEST med for koi PERIOD! If you see your koi "flash" or scratch...put this in and all will be well! I have been using Prazi for 30 years. Best way to mix it it is to buy a cheapo blender just for your pond and WALLA! The powder will be blended on high power in about ten minutes.If you use a bullet blender then half the time!

Had a case of dropsy and took care of it!

After a mild winter my koi fish were showing signs of parasites, this remedied the problem safely. Fish were showing improvement within a few days. I have only had to use this product twice over the past several years and yes, if needed, I will purchase it again.
