Nice metal case, fan though- is not silent for me
Like the looks, assembly is easy, feels rock solid. Fan can not be made silent no matter what I try when mounted. When I unscrew it and let it run by itself, its ok. Though this is not how the case is designed and I can't just leave the fan unscrewed.. not sure I'd another fan would be better, may just be the sound of sucking air through those holes.

Nice looking case. Poor quality control. [UPDATED 2019.09.07]
Original Review 2019.09.05: Background: I have been using my rpi4 with the official rpi PoE hat for some time now. I have been holding off on ordering a case for it until a nice one was available which would both be compatible with the PoE hat and not be too tight of a fit and further aggravate the thermal issues that the rpi4 is known for. In the end, this was the case that I settled on for my pi. The good news is that the parts that I received appear to be of decent quality (I didn't have any issues with misaligned holes as some reviewers mentioned) and from what I can tell, it looks like it would in fact accommodate the pi with the PoE hat comfortably. The bad news is, I was sent two of the top part of the case instead of one top part and one bottom part (see attached photos). As it is, I am missing the most important part of the enclosure and can't properly assemble it. With a quality control issue of this nature, I unfortunately can't give this product better than a single star. I plan to contact the seller to see what they can do to resolve this issue, at which point I will update my review (and potentially the rating, depending on how it is handled). UPDATE 2019.09.07: After contacting the seller, I was able to swap out the case that I was sent with a new case and I must say that this new case is spot on. The case is a bit tricky to install (follow the instructions included in one of the customer product images), but in the end is totally worth it. Since I am installing my rpi4 with a PoE hat, my install process was slightly different (basically, you need to omit the installation of one of the posts, so that you can affix the rpi4 to the bottom part of the case, take a look at my new attached photos). After that, just make sure not to press down too hard on that corner when installing the PoE hat. The quality of the resulting case is as good as I could have hoped for and after having some interactions with the seller, I would have no reservations recommending this product to others. From my experience, the seller is quite concerned with customer satisfaction and as a result, I wouldn't be overly concerned with quality issues (if there is an issue, they will make sure to correct it for you). With all this in mind, my new rating for this product will be five stars as it has met or exceeded all of my expectations.

Nice material, mediocre quality control
TLDR: All in all, a decent case. You're probably rolling the dice a little at this price point, but if you're cool with putting in for a replacement if you need to, I'd say this is worth the slight hassle. ---- This is a black aluminum case, very solid and it feels nice once it's all put together. I purchased this case after the previous one wasn't able to allow a PoE hat to fit. The pictures kind of give you an idea of the fit, but to sum it up, this case basically fits around the pi, with only one screw fastening the pi to the case, and the other screws holding the case together around the pi. That's important because most PoE hats have boards that sit above the screw holes on the pi, so if you have a case that relies on fitting over those screw holes the PoE hat will obstruct the case being closed properly. With this case that's not a problem because the case fits around the pi rather than atop/below it. In addition, unlike other cases, you can move the fan around on this one. With the PoE hats I have, the fan would have obstructed the top of the case from fitting properly, but since you can just unscrew, move, and screw the fan back in, this was a big bonus. I have to agree with other reviews - I really only have two gripes with this case: quality control and the fan. I got two cases. One of them the ports for the power/hdmi weren't quite lined up with the pi correctly, so it wasn't a "nice" fit, but for my purposes I don't care so much. With the other one, though, two of the screw holes for closing the case up were misaligned when they drilled the threads, so I physically can't put two of the screws in toe close the case properly. I have a replacement on the way, so hopefully I can just swap out the one part that is affected and call it good. The fan is a little loud for my taste. I tested it plugged into both 5v and 3v leads - 5v is a bit whiney, and at 3v it sounds like it's being underpowered enough where it's going to die :| I'm leaving it at 5v. One other concern with the fan - it's intake only. The threads for the fan are only on one side which makes this an intake-only fan. I prefer fans to be exhaust, but I guess I can deal.

Nice, but some very significant warts. Prob'ly look elsewehere?
Very nice industrial-looking enclosure. Solid and robust. But two stars (I'd like to take 2.5 stars) off for... 1.) Design requires me to use a tool to insert/remove uSD cards, 2.) Not including little rubber feet, and 3.) Only one standoff to fasten the board to the case? Really? Boo. 4.) The fan is shockingly loud. plus, 5.) The quality control issues others have seen were clearly well-founded. While mine went together acceptably, it *did* take just a little more futzing than it should, to get that last screw in. Come to think of it, if it wasn't together and the RPi loaded up with software, I might actually send it back. Final edit: Yep. Sending it back. Fan is so loud it can be heard during the movie it's playing.

High Quality Case for the Raspberry Pi 4
I purchased this case to house my new Raspberry Pi 4 board. This product is made from aluminum, as are the heat sinks that come with the case. The fan is plastic as are the screws that hold everything together, careful when installing as these can strip rather easily. Overall the case fit my Raspberry Pi 4 board perfectly, assembly was straight forward and there were no issues. One thing to note is that this case relies on the board USB ports to hold the board in position. While this is not a big issue I personally would have preferred standoffs as that route is a little more secure and does not put any pressure on the board. For my use case as a Pi-Plex server this will never be moved and as such I am not worries about damaging the components in any way. I would definitely recommend this case as the final product with board installed feels very secure. I have had no issues with alignment or functionality since building my PI server a month ago. Good idea but poor construction and parts missing.
Just got this today and my opinion is about like other reviews. This case is really not worth the money. First the good. I bought it specially to accommodate a clock module on the GPIO strip. It is tall enough to provide clearance for the clock. However, I did have to move the fan forward to allow for clearance. Now the bad. As others have stated, the fan is noisy. I’m using my pi with a ham radio and the radio audio will drown the fan noise out but as I sit here with nothing but pi running the fan noise is annoying. Perhaps I’ll get used to it. As is usual, there were not instructions for assembling it but not too hard to figure out. I specifically wanted a metal case and this is one but the quality is pretty poor. The exact amount of screws necessary for assembly were provided but the screw holes did not line up without some twisting. The Amazon description shows that the case includes heat sinks and a screwdriver. None of those were in my package so beware if you need them. I already had them on my pi and didn’t need them but false advertising nonetheless. Also one of the Amazon pictures shows the fan wiring to the pi’s GPIO. I had to reverse the wires on my pi to get power to the fan. Finally, the slot orientation for the sd card is going to make it very difficult to access the sd card. May have to remove back of case to get to the card. I’ll use this for awhile until I find something better but I certainly wouldn’t but another one. Boy that fan is loud!

Just as described.
Fits perfectly and seems durable. The only thing that I was not too happy about is the fan noise level. It is a bit too loud for my liking.. Other than that though, I'd recommend this case.

does not fit the raspberry pi 4 board
The case could be a great metal case for raspberry pi 4. It is heavier than most other cases. The case consists of 4 pieces and they fit nicely outside. Inside, however, it doe not fit my raspberry pi 4 board. The openings on the case for av, power and hdmi do not align with the ports of my pi 4 board. Therefore, the only screw slot of the case is not aligned with the screw hole on the board. Other cases usually use 4 screw to fasten the pi board to the case, this one however uses only one screw which can not be fastened at all. The case can still be used, but the board is loose inside. The design is a bit flawed in that it does not accommodate the manufacture errors or the variations of the pi boards.
