My Utmost for His Highest: Quality Paperback Edition

I'm so surprised by the author's sharp, high standards concept of faith, what we should do as Christians! I should buy more to present it as a gift!

I had the original version years ago. Even though it was inspiring, the language was a little challenging. This new version is completely uplifting, as well as, thought provoking to me. I have my Bible ready to explore the passages that Chambers references for a deeper understanding of both the scriptures, and his writing. Please read the foreword, introduction, and section entitled "A Word about Oswald and Biddy Chambers". It is equally as inspiring and humbling. Even though I had the previous edition, I did not know that biographical information about the Oswalds. It reminded me of a musical project I had from the 90's titled "My Utmost for His Highest." I got it out and listened to it. That really brought back memories, and all that God had brought me through!

I had this before but loaned it out and it never came back. The other one had a daily Bible reading and a devotional each day. It took 365 day and you read the entire Bible. The devotionals are amazing.The author says more in 1 or 2 paragraphs than most do in an entire book.

I use this book for a daily devotional. I have been through it twice now. Obviously, Oswald Chambers was one of the finest Christian writers who ever lived. He has been gone for almost 100 years now. But still his writings are timeless and true today, just as when he first wrote them. His understanding of the scriptures was simply amazing, considering his young age, and the times in which he lived. And he not only talked the Christian talk, but he walked it also, giving his life in service to the British troops in WWI. You will not find a finer example of Christian writing than this, truly a great collection of works from which to learn.

Bible is the solid food. God's children are at different spiritual ages. There are many books wrote by God's children which are also inspired by Holy Spirit. They applys God's truth in their individual lifes under different circumstances, which can help many other children of God with similar trials, difficulties. These books are like baby food, kids food for different ages, they can help us to understand Bible, helps us to apply its Truth in our lifes. This is one of the greatest book among them. This is a great gift for friends, and not only at Christmas time.

The published text and binding of the book are very well done, and the book was received promptly with regular U.S. postal mailing.Content of the text is challenging mentally and spiritually, and requires some deep thinking and frequently repeated reading of the verse to obtain the authors message.A satisfied rating applies to this book by Chambers and be prepared for some true mental and spiritual challenges.Jim in Ohio

This book is a wonderful addition to my daily devotional. A friend recommended it, and I love it! The daily readings speak to me as no others have.

Had to buy a new one as my wife wore out the first one ...

I love this book and am part way through it for the third time at the moment. I'd recomment it to anyone desiring a little help with their 'quiet time' 'prayer time' or other devotional sessions.
