Like everyone else, the hardest part was removing the old ones. In my case I prepared and used liquid wrench liberally the day before, so the break free was easy. My problem was that each bolt on my old set required a different combination of socket length/extender length, because of the positioning of the bolts. Very time consuming (3hrs to remove, 30min to install new ones). Installation of these replacements was easy, the angles of the bolts were much better and was able to use the same socket wrench for all bolts. Much appreciated!! Look good and great price, Last set of relatively inexpensive ones lasted for 8 years before they rusted out, so if I get that on these I will be happy. Expect my FJ to still be running then!. The style is simple and sleek. The design is sturdy and easy to install. Nothing has faded or rusted over the last 18 months of use. My only complaint is that neither the pictures nor the description show how the support brackets connect to the tubes. Potential buyers should know, the support brackets attach to the undersides of the tube steps, decreasing ground clearance by 1 to 1.5". Additionally, these brackets could very easily hang up on rocks or other obstacles, thereby incurring damage.
