Allstar SideSleeper Pro Pillow and Pillow Case, One Size (Pack of 2)

I've caught some sales and purchased at least a dozen of these. It's such a shame they are so very poorly made. But I have come up with ways to live with them, while I wait for them to figure out how to actually make them properly and use quality filling, covers, and hopefully find a way to keep them from going flat in just a few of weeks.I have lumbar spine issues and cervical spine problems, as well. The support this provides when they are new for my neck and back is truly a miracle. My whole body relaxes as my neck is not hurting and the tail is just enough to support my back. Now, if they'd only last.... hopefully one day soon.But in the meantime, regardless of how ugly they are and how nasty the pillow cases look/feel when they start pilling from the cheap fabric - I use a method I can live with. Not as idea as when I first open a new one, but better than before. When they go flat, I simply use 2, one right over the other. Gives me the height for my neck and the height for the back support. They stay together just fine, since nothing can slide over that rough surface easily. And yes, I flip them both over every time I change sides, which includes my reversing them so the newer surface is the one against my face/neck/ear, etc.When I travel (only about 2-3 times a year), I break out a new one and they pack well in my suitcase/carry-on. And regardless of whatever hotel I am in, I have my pillow and I WILL sleep well!In the meantime, I sincerely pray they can make a SideSleeperPro "+" that addresses the quality issues. I would gladly pay double (or more!) for a similar pillow made to last. You have a product that half the world could use and love, but not so long as they are thrown together with the cheapest supplies available. There have been some improvements over the past year (at least the actual cover over the pillow itself is no longer being made with unravelling rayon or whatever that junk was), but they still need a decent filler that will hold up under use, and cases made of something a little closer to what one expects from a pillow case. Having to attack mine with a battery operated "piller" that was made for sweaters or socks or something. Maybe even some colors? When the existing ones start deteriorating (almost immediately), the white cover makes it seem even worse and I would never let anyone know I still use them...even tough cleaning won't do the trick. I hide them during the day - it's that bad. But I have also bought over 20 of these pillows and I hope I don't have to learn how to make them myself while waiting for a better product from you. The 5 Star rating is for how well they help me during the first 21 days or so. And for how much they will continue to help me if they improve.

I had one bought for me two years ago, and loved it, I took it everywhere with me. I finally had a pillow that supported my neck and gave me something to hold one to (I tend to sleep with it backwards). After my puppy killed it (he attacks anything with stuffing and I accidentally left it out one day) I was very excited to find this replacement. I got it and two days without is two days to much. My husband borrowed it last night, I didn't sleep well, but him? It's the best nights sleep he has had in years. So I am back again buying a 3rd. It encouraged him to sleep on his side, so no snoring, his shoulder and neck feel much better, and his legs seemed to stay still most of the night.To those who don't like the ear hole, turn it over! Or take the button out. I had a problem with the button undoing and making my ear sore, but I removed it from the inside of the case and no more problems. Also I am 5'2 so those that say its only for taller people shouldn't speak for all of us shorties (all good things come in small packages). My husband is 5'10 so works for him too. We are gonna fight over this one till the new one gets here I just know it!It is a firm pillow, but that's how u get the support.I have tried so many pillows, angled, memory foam, those bead ones (yuk), even a pregnancy pillow (huge thing it was), and this one is by far the best, by 1000%. I will return to buy more!

I know this pillow is not for everyone, but it works wonders for my neck. I have had neck pain for a few years now and have tried various pillows, exercise and even went to a chiropractor for awhile. Nothing seemed to help. Then, I bought this pillow by chance and it has made a world of difference for me. It did take some getting use to. The pillow case is not the softest around. They also do not last forever. The zipper broke on the pillow case and the pillow itself burst open after some months of use. I ordered two this last time since I know it won't be good for the whole year. But, there is something about the position it puts my head into when I sleep that works for my neck pain. I love the ear hole because it helps me to remember how to align my head. Sometimes, I flip over onto my back and I still sleep just fine with this pillow. I feel they have made some improvements on the new one I just received. I like that they now include where to buy extra pillow cases in the packaging. I think if you are suffering from neck pain, give it a try. Hopefully, it will help you as much as it has helped me.

I bought this in hopes of helping me snore less and sleep better. Well I sleep better at least! As far as snoring, the wife says she doesn't notice it as much. The problem is that you can start out on your side but you gradually move around at night and end up on your back. This pillow helps decrease that but I often wake up either lying on my back on top of the pillow or on the bed with the pillow pushed out of the way. I found that over 2 weeks I seem to sleep better although not every night. It is a very comfortable "cheap" pillow and such a great idea. I think if I were able to, I would attach an elastic strap that would help it from moving away from my body at night. Sleeping on your side can help alleviate snoring, dry mouth, and mild sleep apnea and so for that, I gave this pillow 5 stars. It is a great price and great idea. My only suggestion is that they should make it a tad bit harder so that it would keep its shape better. I disagree with some of the negative comments about it being a "sandpaper" feeling cover. I don't even use a cover (although I should).Cons: Cheap Chinese manufacturing, needs a way to keep it near your body so you can have it near you all night.Pros: Cheap. Really works to help you stay on your side all night. After 2 weeks, I feel as though I am actually sleeping. Apparently less snoring.
