Fantastic, smooth, nimble, quick
Freakin love this thing! Unfortunately lost it 80 feet up in a tree, but that was a receiver problem. Super fine to fly and I’m getting another if I can’t this thing out of the tree.Update- got a second one and still love it. Keep away from pine trees.... Ok, so if you’re new, just listen to what everybody says to do and work on throttle control and stay low. If I was flying under the canopy when my VTX dropped I wouldn’t have hade to blow the extra hundred bucks. If you’ve got a small urban yard, this might not be right for you and you may want to opt for a more whoop-like copter. I’m on two acres and use all of it very quickly with the freestyle. This fills a great niche where I don’t want to fly my 5” copter around my house, I can rip it with this.A lot of folks gripe about the VTX, but it’s not the worst although a beefed up one would be nice. When I lost my last freestyle, the receiver was the primary culprit. I switched up to a rapidfire and don’t have significant problems now. I get static with buildings and trees, but it’s nothing unexpected for 25mw.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS LITTLE DRONE!!!
Seriously one of THE BEST investments I've made in my FPV journey! I've spent time and plenty of money building my own racing drone but wanted something smaller to fly around anywhere without the worry of damaging it when it falls, hurting anyone, etc. I CANNOT express enough how much I truly love this thing!!Pros: Batteries charge in 15-20mins or less = quickly get to flying!.. Handles like a 5"-6" racing/freestyle quadcopter!! Batteries last fairly long depending on flying style! Camera quality is fantastic!! Signal goes a good distance! VERY tough design as well!!! My controller malfunctioned for a second and the drone was about to take off, I hit the failsafe at about 25' in the air and the drone sadly dropped.. I thought for sure something would have broken, but NOTHING was wrong!! Flipped it over and kept flying! Very silent flying as well so it doesn't draw too much attention! And lastly, it's actually VERY quick for a tiny little drone!!Cons: The little screws and bolts that hold the flight controller are not very sturdy (granted when crashing things break), I would recommend just buying some extra parts just in case. After crashing once or twice the first time I flew this, one of the props kept coming off but now seems to have stopped giving me that problem. And that's it. Period. Seriously!Overall: You want to fly? BUY THIS!!! Don't know how to fly? Buy The Drone Racing League Simulator, practice virtually, and watch it translate to real flying! You WILL have a blast with this drone with little to no worry of repairing if/when you crash!!ABSOLUTELY GREAT JOB EMAX!!!!!

Great First "Real Quad" Needs New Antenna
I have been flying indoor "drones" since 2015 or so starting with some brushed ones, then tiny whoop style fpv, then brushless tiny whoops from a blue brand. The quality, flight characteristics, and tune of this thing are superior to any other brand I have tried, and I am am very happy with this purchase. The only downside is that the video range is pretty bad for an outdoor quad. Some people have been replacing the VTX, but I think it is a little extreme to spend $20 on a new VTX for a $100 quad. But I have a solution!Search for and buy a "micro lollipop antenna" on amazon ($20 2 pack), they only weigh like 3 grams. Cut the UFL connector off and solder the new antenna on, just like how the old one was and bring it out the back. If you don't know how you can probably google how to strip and solder coaxial cable. Also, make sure you are using an RHCP antenna on your video receiver.Additionally, If you have access to a 3d printer you can get a mount too! Just search for "EMAX Tinyhawk Freestyle Lollipop VTX antenna" on Thingiverse. You can even get one with an XT30 port if you have XT30 batteries. Also, I got better transmitter signal strength moving the receiver antenna out the back while I had the top plate off for the new antenna install. So, for the fact that this is really a $120 drone with about a half-hour of labor I give it 4/5 stars. If it came with a better antenna and/or VTX it would be a 5-star product and I would probably buy another one. Except for that, everything else is great, I even bounced it off concrete a bunch of times before I broke the bottom plate, which is only $9 for a new one. I am going to even buy the indoor version as I just broke my whoop from the blue brand due to the fact that their propellers are so tight on the motors the shaft gets bent when you replace them. The EMAX quality is just better. I suspect I will have to do the same mod for that one too, but I have an extra antenna from the 2 pack.

Nothing this small should fly this good. Amazing
flies like a dream, small, lightweight, best quad I've ever flown,. Getting between 6 and 10 minute flight times depending on how hard I push it running off at the two 450 mAh lipos,. I just trying to slowly cruise around I can get 10 minutes,. My normal flying style about 7 or 8.I'm not one of those people that just constantly punching throttle as hard as possible, I'm not sure how long your flight times would be if you were just punching it constantly. I just like to weave in and out of obstacles, do some loops, rolls and light aerobatics,. when I have the goggles on I mean I can't I can't really tell them flying something so small,. it's definitely one of the better flying frogs I've ever flown I mean I'm actually extremely impressed. I expected this thing to fly nice but I did not expect it to be this good. The camera isnit great but it's acceptable,. The VTX isn't made for long range. I would say those are about the only flaws this thing has.
