Definitely keeps mice away.
Must apply often as rain washes it away. We are using it at our UP Michigan cabin. So far no trace of mice.I also used the one for porcupine to keep those suckers away!

Smell
This did not work and stinks. Do not waste your money!

It didn't seem to make any difference. We used it in and around our chicken coop for several weeks and still have mice.
