I have tried a few cases for the Pixel 3 as there are few options in a retail store. This one fits the phone snugly, is low profile and is the semi-flexible style of plastic (maybe vinyl).When I first had it on the phone it was rather slippery so I had to be careful but the color was sweet so I continued to give it a spin. The silky feel of the case lessened over the first week and while it's still smooth, it's not as slippery.I has a nice (but not perfect) balance between sliding in/out of a pocket while being solid in the hand but I still pay more attention to this one than I do my Spigen case but not enough for me to forgo using it. I really like the color, kind of a candy-apple red.I haven't seen any degradation to the finish but it's still pretty new. Thankfully I haven't dropped the phone with it so I can't speak to it's impact protection though it a thin shell so it wouldn't be a effective as some of the more rubbery cases. Color looks to be integral to the case but I haven't taken a knife to it to scratch it.Like a lot form fitting cases (such as my other favorite Spigen), this case leaves the top, bottom, and button area open which hasn't been a problem so far. The corners are covered and the open edges are protected by the thickness of the case. Still, drop the phone at the right angle and the wrong location, (onto say the front edge of a concrete step) and the case will not take the hit. I wouldn't recommend this case for those who are a bit clutzy or folks who work for a living (aka not at a desk) but for an office worker, I like it.At this point, I would purchase this one again but the open top/bottom could be a problem for some.

This is a review for the "Gravel Dark" variant of this case. I took a chance ordering it before there were any reviews, and thankfully it turned out to be exactly what I needed.The thing to understand about these types of cases is that they aren't meant to be completely protective. A big part of the top and bottom edges of the phone will be exposed to scratches. It will give you minimal drop protection. Do not get this case if you are prone to dropping your phone, if you regularly throw your phone in a bag or purse, or want more protection in general.The case has a very fine grit to it, almost like sand paper. It's not shiny at all, so I don't know why the description says that. It's great for keeping your phone almost the exact same size and adding texture to make it less slippery.I was introduced to this type of case by OnePlus when I bought their "sandstone" case for my OnePlus X a few years ago. I upgraded to a Pixel and found Bear Motion made a case just like that OnePlus case. Now that I've upgraded to a Pixel 3, I was looking for the same type of case. This is it. Paired with a tempered glass screen protector, it gives me all the protection that I need for my phone.

This case is great if you're looking for something minimal and lightweight to protect your phone from scratches. I wouldn't expect it to do much for any sizeable drop though, but then again, you shouldn't be looking at lightweight cases if that is a concern. It's also nice that it has larger cutouts on top, bottom and the side for the buttons so I can show off a little bit of the phone. I used to always be a no-case person, so this is a nice transition type case.My only issue with it is that I wish it extended another millimeter or two past the screen so I could set my phone face-down and not worry about scratching it. Other than that, I love the case!

The texture of the material on the cover is amazing. Very pleasing to hold, while giving plenty of traction. The cover is easy to attach and remove, it fully protects the 4 corners, and sides (except for the button cut). The top and bottom are mostly cuts.However the coating I love so much does have a flaw, any exposure to salt water (sea water) will cause it to blister up and fall off the phone. Even just spray. If you go near the ocean, rinse the cover even if you don't think you got it wet. I still ended up buying a replacement since I liked the cover so much.

I loved the look and feel of this cover and it does a great job of protecting the phone from incidental scratches and moderate drops. I've dropped my phone twice with this cover. Both times were from about waist height. Both times the case cracked. The case did its job and protected the phone, so weigh the options. Replace the case or replace the phone. I did opt for a different option this last time around.

Ive had this case on the phone for about 3 months. Until today, it has been perfect. Dropped 2 or 3 times on wooden floor, once on concrete without any damage atall. The only wear is in the corners on the grippy coating from being in my pocket. Easy to get over that.The real hero example was biking about 15-20mph it fell out of my chest pocket, tumbled 4 or 5 times on asphalt, and the case saved the phone from any cracks. A few dings but nothing serious. The case did crack as seen in the picks, but for $6.. im a very happy customer. Just reorderd another.

I was looking for a minimalist, thin case for my Pixel 3 that would give more protection more than a skin. Tried multiple ones, but this is the one I ended up sticking with, for a few reasons:- Hard shell gives a much more "premium" feel and is still thin- I wasn't sure about the "open sides" thing at first, but I ended up loving it. Your mileage may vary - I'm OK with risking small scratches on the sides but not have to give up the great feel of the uncovered physical buttons. This design also keeps the phone cleaner (less dust in the corners)- Matte black!After switching from the thick Google cloth case, it felt like I had a whole new phone. As far as protection/durability, I have dropped my phone a handful of times since putting it on a few weeks ago, there's no sign of any damage or deterioration of the case.

It's a thin case, which is great for me as someone who doesn't like using cases.Dropped the phone once, and while the case cracked to break the fall, my phone was unmarked.It fits well and comes on/off without hassle. All ports accessible and it hasn't affected my use of the fingerprint readerOnly gripe is that the case is a bit more matte than you'd expect from the photos.

I had a very similar case for my Nexus 5X and, for me, the combination of clear, hard back and more flexible black sides is perfect.I also bought a softer, more rubbery all-clear case and just didn't find it fitted so closely and the back wasn't as transparent - this shows off the back of the phone much more clearly.My personal opinion is that the combination of this case plus a tempered glass screen protector is ideal for both protecting the phone but not adding too much bulk or hiding the look of the phone.

Thus case has saved my phone TWICE. The first time I was sure nthe screen would be cracked bit there was not even a scratch on my phone or case. The second time the case cracked and a tiny piece broke off. Phone is still in perfect condition. I'm buying another so I can continue to feel my phone is protected! It's like the bike helmet of phone cases!!

Great case! Very slim and lightweight. This grey colour one I got has this light sandpaper type texture to the back which allows me to hold the phone a little easier. It won't protect my phone completely but if you're a person who takes care of their phone and wants the minimal protection then this is great.

At first, when I received it I was so happy with the colour and the product seemed light but sturdy. However this is the result after a few weeks. Completely ruined. I wouldn't buy again
