Worked great with the original Sears unit.
Quick delivery and the opener worked as described. Very pleased with the new units.

required pin modification
the set up was easy for this new opener, but interestingly, our two cars and our other garage opener stopped working. It was if the new opener "learned " the code but canceled the memory of the other openers. I read the reviews and the Q and A's on the site, and one or two purchasers with the same issue mentioned that after matching all the pins, that the first pin had to be moved from its up or down position that SHOULD have matched our garage door opener. how they ever figured this out, i will never know. well, after i set the other eight pins, i did change the position of the first pin...and every opener worked. I am not sure why this was the case, but thank goodness for the input from other purchasers!! I DO recommend this opener....just pay attention to the possible need to change the first pin on this opener.

Didn't work as advertised
I did extensive research before buying this product. I was planning on replacing my remotes for my parents garage door on their old model craftsman garage door opener. I matched the frequency and model number and everything on the internet pointed me to this remote as the universal replacement. When I got it, I matched the placement of the switches, nothing. I placed a new battery, nothing...for both. Not satisfied at all and considered junk in my opinion. Definitely returning it.

Great remote, please read through reviews if you're having set up issues.
Tried several times to get this to work. Matching up the numbers perfectly. Red light came on, so we knew the battery was fine. We got frustrated and were ready to return. Started reading through reviews and it clearly advises how to make it work. The first setting needs to go to negative - position if it isn't working, no matter what your original remote shows. Works like a dream now, and so much smaller than the original remotes. Highly suggest this remote.

Replaced old 139-53778 K737 works great the first time out and a GREAT price!
What do you know!? The reviews said it would work and it did, the first try! My old 3 button remote (see photos) is an ancient craftsman w 9 little paddles that have to match the little paddles in my ancient garage door opener. This little replacement looks nothing like the old one. It's actually smaller and has one button and works like a charm. I'm including photos of the paddles in the old and the new units in the working position. Also, I'm including the label on the back of the old one w all the numbers. Hope that's helpful. $12! Shazam! Replaced k737 139-53778 unit with this one and it is great! Even came with a battery!

Cheap alternative for a very old Garage Door Opener
We just moved to a new place that had an incredibly old Sears garage door opener, model 139.548400. While looking for compatible remotes, the Sears website is confusing, in one page where they have the schematics of the different parts (h t t p://parts.sears.com/partsdirect/part-model/Craftsman-Parts/Garage-Door-Opener-Parts/Model-139658400/0247/0718000/00050226/00005), they list the remote model 53778 as compatible. However, in another page with a whole list of model compatibility they say that no compatible remotes for the 139.54800 are manufactured anymore and recommend buying a new and expensive receiver that needs to be connected to the door opener. With that in mind, I did not have high hopes for this remote, but it works perfectly. Plan to buy a second one and also probably a 3rd party WIFI controller, but that is another story.
