The perfect combo of comfort and durability!!
I have had these for a few months now and anytime I do outside work on the garden, mowing the lawn, or building projects, these are the pants I wear.PROS: the material is thick. That was the first thing I noticed when taking them out of the package. There is no chance of getting a hole in these. The pockets are a huge plus. The two front pockets are actually usable and so are the back pockets. I never worry about anything falling out of them and I will often store my pencil, screws, phone, and even my smaller measuring tape. Then you have two additional pockets on the right leg that are also great.Cons: the sizing is definitely big in my opinion. I wear a large in every pair of pants I have. In jeans I typically wear a 10-12 depending on sizing. From all the reviews I saw, people said they were small. These are a little big. I can wear them but they definitely need to be tighter I’m not docking a star though because overall I can still wear them and now that I know my right size, I’ll just get more.

They're good but could be better
They fit fine (XXL, 5'8 230lbs)However there are some serious improvements that could be made.1) belt loops! Omg I either spend most my days yanking these up or I can't have anything in my pockets. Which sucks because where else will I put my work keys/utility knife while I'm at work, ya know, when I need them most?2) the side cargo pocket sucks butt. It's small and flimsy. I lost my utility knife thanks to them. Luckily a coworker found it because I love that knife! The pocket is a joke.3) speaking of pockets. The side pockets are jokes. You'll be worried if your phone and wallet are going to stay in play or fall out everytime you squat down.I personally will not buy another pair until those changes are made to these pants. I wouldn't consider these work pants. I'd consider them fashion pants for the people who want to wear carhartt but not actually work in them.I will continue buying the male version of carharrt pants. Those are great work pants. These again, not so much.

Not as good as I hoped
I liked these, but didn’t love them. They are tightly weaved, so it’s good to help not get abrasions when working, but I got caught in the rain and got soaked. They are not like regular carharts where it’s harder for water to seam through.I also wore these when riding an ATV, it was cool outside and they do not block any wind…..I would have been warmer in sweatpants. For my needs, I wouldn’t buy them again

They aren't my cup of tea
For farm work I can see how these would be great, mainly for winter if that though. They are very thick, seem impossible to rip by how the fabric is constructed.. but for my trade, they are a little too much. It's hard to move in them, and most of my work has alot to do with flexibility, it's so thick that it's kind of itchy. How the actual pants sit there's alot of uneeded extra fabric which I suppose was to help with mobility but it just made them sit weird. So very back and fourth, but I'm gonna return and just stick with work pants and work jeans, for the price I'd say no, but if you are in a cold envirment when working and need that extra durability these are great, but if you aren't and need to bend every which way I'd pass. Hope this helps!

Feel supportive yet comfy!
I love how these feel on. I got xs and the only problem was that the waistband elastic dug into me. I have a sensitive stomach area. So I carefully removed about one inch of stitching from the waistband in the center-front, using a seam-ripper tool. Then I stuck one finger inside the waistband and got ahold of the elastic band, pulled it up, and cut it across, all the way through. Then I let it snap back into the waistband. Now the leggings fit perfectly. The fabric has a lot of spandex and they're high-waisted in the back, so they don't need a tight waistband to stay up--on me anyway.

Lovely strong midnight fabric. Not quite jean, but more than a jegging.
I got a Size S, and it's VERY true to size, perhaps a tiny bit big in the inseam. I'm a Size 8 Australian, which is a Size 4 US, or 26.5 inch waist, and 36 inch hips, usually wearing a 26-27 jeans, depending on brand. The fabric is probably great for a mild climate, say Autumn or Spring chilly days would be fine with these. Winter perhaps. I'm not sure because I don't live in a snowy climate, but these pants are definitely thicker than Summer leggings. From the front, they look more like leggings because of the lack of zipper/false fly, but from the back and side, these pass as jeans because of the pockets, and the quality.Very comfy, and very flattering with the leg detail, lowish cut waist, and perfect sized pockets!! This was a completely random purchase, as I realised I hadn't looked at Carhartt's gear for a few years. These pants will look great with tanks, fitted t shirts, flip flops, sneakers, and boots. They absolutely pass as jeans. LOVE THEM!!!!

Same as store bought
As far as I can tell, exactly the same as the ones I purchased in store. Will purchase again.

tight waist band, long for petite (5'2)
In these pants, I bought the black ones and the reviews are correct, the waist band has barely any stretch at the very top. I measured, my hips are about 38 and natural waist about 28, although the waist is fine (almost feels like it has tummy control!), I can barely squeeze my hips through. But once on, the butt hips and legs (I have skinny legs) it's snug (not super snug) just snug enough for them to pass as thick legging/ pants, hugging my curves. I love that you can dress these down or up. The material is like a very thick pointe material and it doesn't seem like these will stretch out (at best very little). The pockets are very generous, 2 in the front, 2 in the back, and 2 on top of each other on the side. I can swat up and down and move easily in theses. The back pockets make your butt look nicer. I must say because the XS Short was out, I bought the XS which has a 30-31 inseam. My knees do not hit the middle of the big rectangular box (for reinforced knees) where it should, it's cut for your knee to be in the middle. Instead my knees hit the upper half of the rectangular box. If I was 5'3.5 or taller It would be fine. I will update my review if anything is amidst in function and quality after a year or so. This pant met my expectations and despite the longer length I like them enough to keep them immediately. I believe in quality and I know these will last better than my LULU leggings! I wish these came in solid colors (without the darker pockets so I can sneak these in the office under a blazer as dress pointe pants!). I want to try the carhartt lightweight leggings next! For reference: I am 5'2 about 120-125 lbs, wear a 4 in lululemon leggings and shorts and 4-6 in LULU tops/jackets, Small Petite/2P in Banana, in Aritzia XS/S in tops, dresses, jackets, and 2-4 in bottoms, XS/S or 2 in Club Monaco, 27 in Citizens, kids 12 in Roots sweatpants, XL kids in Roots sweatshirts, S in Rudsak Jackets.

The pants that look great with rubbers
I work in logging and I have but few complaints about these leggings. Love the appearance minus the wide spread back pockets. The colours are great. Look spectacular with a pair of gum boots or socks and sandals. Have not attempted with any other forms of footwear. The first day I got them, I attempted a power slide - for those of you that don’t know what that is, it is when a rockstar slides on their knees while playing the guitar. I used my air guitar and went right into the solo. Unfortunately, the knees melted little holes in the outer material immediately following the power slide. But they do hold up to walking through Alberta wild rose bushes and fumbling over fallen trees. Not attempted with devil’s club plant but I imagine they would offer some protection from that beast. My only other complaint is that they retain the smell of what I can only equate to being from flatulence. I have washed them to attempt to remove the smell but it remains. I have checked my underwear to ensure I did not in fact confuse some gas for a solid. Should I perhaps build in a scent shield made of dryer sheets or perfume?Overall, I love these pants and would purchase again. For reference, I am 5’7” with 34” waist, 43” hip and 25.75” thigh. I typically wear a size 12 or large and am 180-185 lbs.

Favourite work pants so far
These fit amazing and seem to really stand up to wear and tear of renovation work!I am a little curvy and these are the first pants that fit well, are comfortable, look good, and are tough enough for the trades.

Durable but not the most comfortable
I bought these after seeing a friend wearing them. I’m constantly in the barn, and wanted them for chores instead of jeans. They’re really cute and have reinforcements in all the right places. I used the sizing information and went with a size xs regular. The length is fine but I find the fit a bit odd. The waist band seam is quite tight - uncomfortably so, as if there’s no enough stretch. They fit perfectly through the thighs to the knees and then they get loose. I have xs Carhartt overhauls and they fit well, and are almost too big. If I had gone up to a small, the tights would be baggy from the hips down, so I think they’re just not quite made for my body type. I’ll keep them and wear them but they won’t be my go to like I was hoping.
