There is a simple fix for the dreaded F0 error!
If you have one of these and got the dreaded F0 error this may help you. Having worked in HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) I decided to figure out what was wrong with mine. I removed the back cover: two screws at bottom rear, one at each side at bottom and two behind filter. The bottom two rows of the condenser were icing up and I had rusty water dripping into the tank. I removed the sensor from the holder and attached it to the elbow at the bottom. I held it on with a cable tie. It has operated with no F0 for over a year keeping the room dry.

Purchase the extended warranty!!
Purchased FFAD7033R1 June 15 of 2016, unit failed July 4, 2017. All lights blinking in unison with accompanying "beep". Upon calling Fridgidaire customer service, they have no idea what the problem is and advised that "the best thing to do is to purchase a new one". In reading other reviews and jumping onto a few forums, this seems to be a common theme - very short lifespan. I will never purchase another Fridgidaire product due to poor quality control and inept customer service, and the replacement dehumidifier that I purchase will always have the extended warranty through Amazon from here on out.

It was a great dehumidifier while it lasted
Well. It was a great dehumidifier while it lasted. Quiet. Efficient. Quiet. Very quiet. You couldn't tell when the compressor would kick in. I had a GE before. That is, still have it. When the compressor is compressing, it is as if someone is trying to give birth. To a porcupine. Against the grain. Without anesthesia. Very loud and very... laborious. So exactly two years ago I bought the Frigidaire. I had the previous model which I was happy with and I read this one was even better. For pretty much the same price. So it came. It worked the summer and fall of 2016. Then it rested and then worked the summer and fall of 2017. It gave me an error, the infamous F0, a couple of times, but then it worked on. This spring I saw it kick in and then after a while the error came. I reset it....same. And no denumidifying. After a couple of days I decided to call Frigidaire and vent. After all, the new looking all polished unit after less than a year of pure working time just croaked. Then, after reading some users' accounts of dealing with the F0 I decided to open the unit first, after all I am an EE.Upon having it opened I saw the whole condensor having rusted out. Leakage of some sort. Probably lost the freon due to this.So I called. To my amazement (I expected to hear some "we're sorry but....") the customer service promptly advised me of the buyout of these units. They sad they would at their discretion either refund the money or replace the unit. I submitted the document (easy) over the email, and after not hearing anything for two weeks I received a new unit (I was prepared to get the refund which is the amount less tax and was really surprised).So. Really great attitude of the customer service. Even if it indicates there is some known issue(s) with the model they are aware of and won't admit, but will just replace an out of warranty unit, and from what I understood, mine is not alone. The new unit is working as it should now, I have to get rid of the previous one. It happened one week after the bulk pickup in our town.So....even though the unit has reliability problem, I'm hoping maybe since the issue has been identified, maybe in newer units it got addressed. Two stars deducted for reliability. But one is added back for the customer service.Let's hope this one lasts longer. The previous 70pt model has been with me for over three years now.

Frigidaire Dehumidifiers - good luck! Both I purchased were under warranty when they failed.
While Amazon labels this unit as it's "best seller" it is far from the best dehumidifier on the market. After purchasing two in the last 18 months, I have switched to the hOme 70 pint brand, which has a 2 year warranty and is quieter. Frigidaire will not repair their products but rather to buy them back at your original purchase price. You have to dispose of the defective one which can cost up to $20 to recycle.

I am happy to assist
I purchased this unit in April 2017 to replace a 30+ year old Whirlpool dehumidifier only because it was 30 years old. Approximately 2 months after purchasing this unit I noticed rust on the inside of the water collection bucket. I contacted Frigidaire's customer service people and was told that "rust" was not covered under warranty and " I wouldn’t be too worried about the rust, especially since the dehumidifier is working correctly." which it is. In addition I was advised by the customer service rep that " you can purchase a new bucket, and I should be able to offer a 10% discount off the purchase price. The bucket has current cost of $57.33. If you choose to purchase a new bucket directly from us, our Parts Department should be able to assist." The rust seemed to be getting "worse" so in October 2017 I wrote a letter to Frigidaire, included my email correspondence and a picture of the rust in the water collection bucket. I received the following via email November 1, 2017 from Frigidaire "I am sorry to hear of the experience you are having with rust in your dehumidifier bucket. I am happy to assist. I have reviewed the information you mailed in, and do see that Angelique has already advised you that rust is not covered by your warranty. The functionality of your dehumidifier, according to your letter, is not being altered in any way by the rust. The unit is designed for constant moisture, so some amount of oxidation would be normal. You are covered by your warranty, as outlined on page 11 of your use and care manual."So apparently it is to be expected that the unit will rust from the inside out as part of engineering their design. I have unplugged the unit and let it "dry out" for a week, then looked "inside" to try and determine where the rust was coming from but short of dismantling it, and probably voiding the warranty I have been unable to locate the source of the rust. As you can see in the photos, the rust "spot" appears to me to have gotten progressively "darker", notice the "rust ring" around the inside of the collection bucket in the October 12, 2017B photo, which I do not believe is a "good" sign. the unit is in a finished basement and I typically have to empty the water collection bucket 2 times per week. While the unit does function I have serious doubts it will last anywhere near as long mu Whirlpool unit did.
