I am a Electrician that works on everything from heavy industrial to residential jobs. Weather it's 10 degrees or 100 these boots keep my feet comfortable. I beat the crap out of my work wear especially my boots. These Timberlands take it with ease. I will buy them again in 2.5-3 years. How many grams?** A: 400 grams. I don't know why amazon can't make descriptions more clear. I live in Minnesota and these are good until single digits cold. Then you might want the 8 inch that come in 1000 grams, which is what I do. Switching between these and the 8 inch boondocks....have had them for 4 years and still going good. Anti fatigue are the most comfortable boots I ever had. **Q: Are they carbonfiber toe** A: They are composite toe, not steel. I have to go thru a metal detector for work.
