Wolfgang Puck Portable Rice Cooker 1.5 Cup Dry 3 Cup Cooked

The versatility of this little rice cooker was impressive even though it's durability was sorely lacking given it died after 3 months of regular use. Although it is a rice cooker I only made rice in it once and it turned out fine. I have included photos of some of the dishes I made while it was still in commission. First is my take on pasta puttanesca with some chicken added that was also cooked in this cooker, second is a tomato, basil, onion and cheese frittata and the 3rd is an out of the box spice cake with cream cheese frosting....too bad it had a short life as I'm sure more tasty dishes would have been enjoyed.

I have gone through two of these now. The first one died after a year of regular use. The second one died after 2 months. I initially purchased one after my husband used it at his parents house. I just asked, and they said they’ve gone through several of them, too, and now have purchased a different brand. So it seems that dying quickly is a problem with this product.I used it almost every morning to make oatmeal, and it does cook the oatmeal exactly the way I want it so that’s why I give it two stars. But something you pay $50-70 for should last more than 2 months. I’ve replaced it with a small rice cooker from a different brand.

I love it but seems it got broke after one year of use every once in awhile and I can’t exchange it 🥲

Mine also broke, however it was my fault as I put to much oat meal and water in the pot. It ran over and ruined the pot. The directions are clear.I have ordered another one because if used as directed its a perfect pot for rice, and for oatmeal which is what I used it for. I have also given it for gifts to two friends and they love it as well.........Its the perfect size to stay on the counter top.........

I have been using this product for years. It is perfect for singles. the only objection I have is the non stick pot inside.It eventually flakes off into the food. I have to replace the whole thing because there is no pot replacement. Otherthan that I do recommend this to everyone. Thank youkrs

The rice is amazing! I haven’t tried anything else yet though! I did have to push start twice though. I believe it was because the ON button had been pushed during shipping, so it was in-betweeen cycles when I plugged it in!If you look at the rice when done, and water is still visible, just push start again!!

3/4 C rice to 1 1/4 water at sea level, it takes about 20 minutes. Increase water as your altitude increases I.e. 1/2 C rice to 1 C water. For flavour I sometimes add froz orange concentrate to the water.

Every household should have one of these rice cookers it's not only a rice cooker you can do many things in it. It's perfect for fo two people or one person and makes just the right amount of food in it. I have one already and this one is a spare because I love it so much and use it every day for something.

I bought this on the advice of my sister for making a healthy breakfast fast... and it's something I would not live without now. Throw in precooked bacon, tomato and an egg and walk away. When you come back, breakfast is all ready!!! What could be better. Great quality, super easy to use and clean.
