even better than I remember from growing up
I read these books over and over growing up and loved every minute of them. Now I’ve read them to my daughter and the characters and story and storytelling just drew us right in. These books have proven to be timeless.

Definitely made me care about the characters
I had a hard time reading this book. There were parts that were a bit slow, and other parts that were so suspenseful I had to walk away. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though-- I was so invested in the characters that I was getting upset during the last few chapters, when I thought there was no way they could get through their situation. I thought there was no way there could be a happy ending. But in the end, it was very satisfying. I enjoyed the twists and the way the story resolved itself. I look forward to reading the rest of the books about these characters.

Like a favorite movie, I read the series over and over again...
The brilliantly original characters are so vivid and real that I feel like have been my own personal friends ever since I first read the series in high school. Whenever I need a relaxing, good read, I pick the series up again and again and find new things I missed.

Even better than I remembered.
I originally read the series in middle school when they were still new and enjoyed them as a teenage boy would. But now that I’m older, I appreciate them more for the deeper story that can really only be appreciated with life’s experience.

Excellent Conclusion to the Chronicles
Great series with an excellent end to the story. Looking forward to reading the first book of the next series.

Dragons at War
A phenomenal setting with timeless characters pulled into action, intrigue and, of course, magic in its quintessential form. I continue to enjoy this series even decades after it was conceived and that says something about the power of this story and level of writing.

incoherent but good anyway
Overall this trilogy deserves 5 stars but of the 3 this one leaves too much out. The first book reads as a single narrative and winter night reads basically as a pair of related stories. This one skips around like someone skipping a stone off of a pond.Lots of splashy ideas but little depth. The end is satisfying in terms of events but fails to explain them very well. Possibly the problem is too many stories and not space to do more than summarize.Still well worth reading though. Especially if you only care about some of the characters.

All time favourite
The dragonlance series is one of my all time favourite series and this is in fact the 4th time I have bought this book for my own use. I reread it all the time!

Gemeinschaftrezession
