It is a great game that came in good condition.
Loved the game, wished that I could've played the game sooner. I enjoyed playing the game constantly.

Great Game...Glitches Are The Only Drawback
It took me a while to get into this game but once I did I really liked it. It's one of those games the further you get into the the better it gets. Basically this game is very much like a Grand Theft Auto concept. You can do missions or you can run around and do whatever. Pro's: - Very big world to explore...very big - Voice acting pretty good and convincing - Good number of missions...don't like one, just do another one or go exploring - The further you get, the more items you find and acquire, which makes the game more fun Cons: - Glitches- and I don't mean one or two. This got very annoying at times, where I would have to restart my PS3 and go to the most recent save point. The good thing is an auto save feature usually brings you close to where you were. The glitches got to be such a pain at one point I had to alter my gameplay because it kept freezing up in the same spot each time. My PS3 was brand new when I was playing this game and I have never had any problems like this on other games outside of this game. - Graphics- This was not a problem for me, but basically to me they are PS2 graphics. The game is so great though this was a none issue for me...I'm just mentioning it.

Okay but let me
I do like fallout a lot but the fact that I was able to get a brand new copy of fallout 3 for the PS3 that was sealed. I'm still amazed I thought this would be a lot harder to find

Great so far
I never owned fallout before the GOTY, and as of right now, I havent experienced the trouble that others are reporting. I only have about 2 maybe 3 hours of gameplay in right now, so it may be too early to tell. I wonder how big the hard drives are for those having trouble. The game is wonderful, I really cant find any complaints with it. Give me a few more weeks and I will come back and do an update. UPDATE-----------------------------------------------------29 OCT 09 Ok. The game does freeze up, but I think I found out why. 1. sometimes I play while I'm connected to teh playstation network and in chat it will freeze if I try to send a message or something. But that is really not the game itself. 2. I found myself playing for quite awhile the other day. Lets say almost 9 hours straight. The game actually froze up on me and I cut it off, granted I played for 9 hours straight, (a lot of wasted time I know). It has frozen slightly a few times but this game is huge. I have not experienced anything like others are saying but as I keep playin I will keep yall updated. Also, I think I'm gonna delete some of the demos I have so I can have more room on my HDD. I still give it 5 stars, because this game is excellent. UPDATE-----------------------------------------------------21 DEC 09 Ok. I had to tke a star away because of the freezing problems. Yes it does freeze, and there are frame rate issues. I am doing point look out atm and it seems when I fast travel to certian areas there are frame rate issues. I have found out one thing worked for sure, and another thing that kinda helped it. 1st the thing that helped. When ever things slowed down especially from a fast travel I "outran" the lag. Meaning I kept moving to a different area and that cleared it up a bit. 2nd thing that worked was I just paused quickly before it froze and quit the game. Then reloaded. It saved a lot more time then trying to play through watching it freeze then having to reset. Last thing. You dont have to hard reset the game for it to stop. I found that resetting this way gives me a msg of not turing off the PS3 correctly. What I have been doing instead is ejecting then reinserting the game. This causes the PS3 to reset and no error msg. Anyway Fallout 3 is still one of the best games I have played. I does have some issues but to those who are interested in this game, it is well worth it. You will have to do some tricks with it later, but if you can stand that then you will enjoy this game.

I should've just bought this first
I was very hesitant to buy this due to the negative reviews and I remember being terribly frustrated with all the bugs and glitches while playing Morrowind on my old Xbox. When I first bought the regular edition of Fallout 3, I had no idea I'd enjoy it as much as I would. I knew I just had to play the add-ons somehow, so I took the risk and bought the GOTY version, despite the negativity surrounding it. I'm glad I took the chance. The fun this game has been has so far outweighed any irritation from its problems, and I'm pretty much finished with it. As for the freezing, glitches and bugs, to be honest, I haven't had a whole lot of problems. My game does tend to "freeze" during VATS sometimes, especially outside in the Wasteland, but it doesn't stay frozen. I just have to wait a few seconds. It does the same thing while simply walking around, too. Ironically, during the bottlecap exploitation, where you buy and re-sell the same item to a trader over and over again, in order to take all their caps, has actually been better on the GOTY version. My game used to freeze all the time with the regular version while doing that. Only once did my game actually freeze permanently and I had to restart my PS3, and that was using VATS outside in the Wastes. Irritating, yes, but in my case, rare. I have noticed that some of the NPCs act a bit more bizarrely than I'm used to, like Senora Cruz running outside in the middle of a fight between radscorpions and sentry bots. Never had that happen before. So there are problems, but nothing that has really given me a headache or make me want to throw my controller down in frustration. I really have no idea why others are having so many problems with the GOTY version, but I do have an older 80gb PS3 and my hard-drive is pretty clean, I don't know if any of that would matter or not. I also made a point of buying this game brand new, just in case the older shipments had something wrong with them that Bethesda won't own up to. In the end, for me personally and in my individual experience, this game has been significantly more good than bad. I wish everyone else had better luck with it.

Very old game. It's been a long time since the game has been released, but I loved Fallout New Vegas (the sequel to Fallout 3) and decided to give this one a try. Combat seems a little... clunky? Difficult to aim, frame rate drops, glitches. That might be because my PS3 is very old. Still a great game. Not quiet as good as Fallout New Vegas, but a lot better than Fallout 4 (PS4 game). Definitely worth playing if you like games for the story. Combat is easy to get used to and the dialogues are pretty well made. Definitely would recommend to other gamers, especially those who are new to the Fallout series. Be sure to take a look at Fallout New Vegas as well, it's my personal favourite of the entire series
