The cable is too short
I bought this mainly to transfer footage from my camera SD card directly to my iPhone, and it worked perfectly. Setup was very simple — I inserted the SD card, plugged the adapter into my phone, and my files showed up immediately in the Files app for transfer. The adapter feels lightweight but not cheap, and the connection stayed secure while transferring videos. Pros: - very easy to use - compact and travel friendly - works well for content creators transferring photos/videos - affordable price Cons: - cable is short, so you need to keep phone close while transferring Overall, this is a very useful purchase if you need a quick way to move files from camera to phone without using a laptop.

SD cards didn't work on my Onn tablet. Micro SD cards did.
Ordered one of these back in 2024. Just now needing to use it. Taking photos with a Nikon digital camera. Wanting to see the images on my Onn 11 Pro Android 14 tablet. If use a SD card, put it in the Nikon, format it in the camera, take photos, remove the SD card, put it in the adapter and plug the adapter into the Onn tablet, a screen comes up indicating I need to format the SD card in the Onn tablet for use in storing photos. That deletes all the photos already on the SD card. I went into developer mode on the Onn tablet and set the default USB setting to "File Transfer." But when I go into Settings, USB connections and try to set up "Control by this device" it fails to change to that setting. If I put a Micro SD card in a SD card adapter, put it in the Nikon, format it, take pictures, remove the micro SD card, place it in this adapter and plug it into the Onn tablet, it works perfectly. I can click on the Files app, and the micro SD card shows up. I click on that card name, open the folder and all the photo thumbnails appear. When I click on one of the thumbnails, the photo appears full screen. Don't know why the SD card doesn't work using the same camera, adapter, and tablet. But I have a lot of micro SD cards and SD card adapters, so will just use them instead of the regular SD cards.

Easy and convenient
Bought so that I could transfer photos from my camera SD card to my phone on the go. Super convenient and small so easy to pack. Haven’t had any issues with either an iPhone or an iPad.
