Ultra Dance 01

Amazing
I started to get sick of this new style of dance music thats goin on today. The whole pop meets dance. Its good but im not so into it. So i decided to take a look back at the old compilations Ultra Records has delivered in the past years. I decided on purchasing Vol. 1 of the Ultra Dance series.Excellent i have to say. Its totally dance fun and energetic. Intense and eargasmic tracks. Just perfect for me since im really into the early 2000 scene of dance music. Quite a major impact of the introduction to the rest of the dance titles ever created from ultra by giving the audience a well mixed dance remix of Nelly Furtado's "Turn Off The Light" for a full on 7 minutes. Later on some slammin hits by Jessica Simpson, Amber (AWW!), iio, etc. When Green Velvet's "La La Land" i was like OMFG!!!! That was probably the first ever electro track ever put on any ultra album. And then after that a collab with new wave beaters Pet Shop BOys and superstar dj Peter Rauhofer. I totally remember hearing the classic version of "Break For Love" on GTA San Andreas. The last two tracks on this first disc kinda dissapointed me becuse of the length they were. Yah really good tracks but frickin short! Frickin Lasgo's "Something" ended up being cut off at like 1:44. And like it was weird because it featured another minute of the upcoming song. Whatever. I also noticed sum weird mixing like the bass was kinda out of place when transitioning. The 2nd disc was even more thrilling.I totally remmeber hearing Tukan's track somewhere but idk where. It was like totally rave/underground/etc idk what u want to call it. Frickin "Overdrive" by DJ SCOT PROJECT had to be the best track on the whole goddamn album. Intense and it wasnt even the original an intense remix by an anonymous dj. Again two other tracks were cut short which were pretty goodones as well. A good 145 bmp at the last "Adrenaline" by Mad Myles killin the session!! Hmm why 2 Adrenaline's??? Anyways in conclusion. I really enjoyed listening to a classic and energetic mix by DJ JOHNNY VICIOUS. Im not so into his Thrive Mix comps. Idk too simple in the mixing. God bless oh yah also i found interesting the details of the album itself. The model dancing and wearing a pretty neat outfit. The opening letter from the guy (idk who it was again)was really well and motivating and now realizing how dance music is making big impact on the world today. What we got today... Skrillex, Deadmau5, etc. Amazing comp and buy it if ur starting to get bored with todays music. Its worth it.

The best in the series
I own 6 of the 8 editions in the Ultra Dance series, and this is by far the best one. It was released during a golden period for dance music (2000-2002), and it has a lot of the biggest hits from that very fine error of club hits. This is a must have for any dance music fanatic. Be sure and pick it up.

I checked other reviews before ordering!
Not all as great as reviewers stated! As far as tempo and beat goes, lacking in inspiration! Thought it would be more dynamic in song selection.
