I use this as a recipe book as well as just to take notes. Its not bulky and is compact.

I liked them, I made notebooks for gifts.

As a first grade teacher, teaching writing is very important to me. My students write in their journal daily. For years I used the full size "Primary Journal", with half the page being blank, and the second half primary ruled. Mid year I switched to these little cuties, and I am never going back! They are the perfect size for small hands and less intimidating for beginning writers. Although they do not have a blank spot for drawing, my students are totally fine with that. I have instructed them to use the right side for writing, and the left for drawing. It is perfect! LOVE THESE!!I will note that sometimes I have had the binding (strings) break. This is due to the more "aggressive" students use. They bend the spine and are just harder on their things. So, just be aware that if they are handled roughly, the binding will not hold up.

I use these during my OG lessons. Students write their red words in them. This allows them and myself to see the progress they made over time.

These half size composition books are just right for my summer tutoring work. The students aren't intimidated by the size of a composition book, but there are enough pages for us to use multiple pages each session and still have room to practice writing paragraphs, friendly letters and graphic organizers. Of course, the back to school products aren't quite everywhere, so I was grateful to get a half dozen (not only one, nor a case of them) delivered quickly to my door.

I needed 6 more journals and the local stores were out so Amazon fulfilled the needed request.

These notebooks are a great size for short writing assignments. Kids who are overwhelmed because they feel they have to fill a page with writing should enjoy the half size pages.
