โFinally, My Driveway Knows Whoโs Comingโ
The eMACROS Solar Wireless Driveway Alarm is like giving my driveway a sixth sense. I no longer have to squint out the window every time a car rolls inโthis thing tells me instantly. Setup was surprisingly easy: mount the sensor, plug in the receiver (or let it charge via solar), and boomโinstant peace of mind. I even caught a raccoon โtrespassingโ last night, and yes, it gave me the same alert as a car. Pros: โข Solar-Powered Sensor: No wiring headaches; keeps itself charged during the day. โข Wireless & Easy Setup: Took less than 15 minutes to get it running. โข Adjustable Sensitivity: Can differentiate between a bird hopping around and a truck rolling in. โข Multiple Alerts: Works for cars, trucks, and yesโฆ curious wildlife. Cons: โข Range Limits: Works best if your sensor isnโt too far from the receiver. โข False Alerts: Sometimes tiny animals trigger it, but honestly, thatโs kind of fun. Overall, this alarm is perfect for anyone wanting an extra set of eyes on their driveway without installing cameras or complicated tech. My driveway has never felt saferโor smarter.

Love it! Wish we had it sooner.
We live out in the country with long driveways. We have a few visitors and several deliveries each month. We never know when someone would show up until they were actually HERE or already leaving. Now, when we get a delivery, I have my shoes on, leash on the dog, and garage door opening to greet the delivery personnel before they step out of the truck. We have two sensors and one receiver. The sensors are mounted on trees near the driveways and are not noticeable to the untrained/unwary eye. They are both about 50 yards (150 feet) from the receiver in the center of our home. One of them is mounted on the back side of an 18 inch tree. Meaning, the signal has to go through the 18" tree, exterior wall of our house, and one or two interior walls to reach the sensor. NO Problems! It works great. We've had these right at two months now. We charged the batteries per the instructions before we installed them. The solar panel has kept them charged ever since even though they are mounted on tree trunks, UNDER the overhanging branches, and even during several days of clouds and/or rain. I'm impressed. We will probably purchase an additional sensor in the future for when I'm working in the shop. The one in the home is usually plugged in. Occasionally we unplug it and take it in another room since it has battery back up. Also, the instructions say to point it towards the engine block of where a car will pass on the driveway so it will detect the heat. We only had two types of situations where it worked or didn't work as expected. 1. Sometimes it would pick up an occasional vehicle passing by on the road, giving a false alarm. I fixed that by pointing it just a littler farther away from the road. No tools needed. 2. When my wife takes her car out of the garage and leaves, it does not alarm when she passes by. I'm sure this is because the vehicle is at such a neutral temperature that it cannot sense it. I'm curious to see how it will work during our winter. Again, being pointed towards the engine block, it should work fine. I would highly recommend these to anyone that is interested.

Works As Early Warning System
I purchased this system with 3 receivers and 4 motion detectors. The system is easy to setup. First, charge the motion detectors. This took only 15 minutes for me with 4 detectors and 3 charging chords. Next, turn the detectors on using the slider on the bottom...you can select either "low" or "high" to set the units sensitivity. After that, it's as simple as moving the 2nd slider on the bottom of the units to channel 1, 2, 3, or 4...wave your hand in front of the sensor to hear the unique tone associated with the 4 channels and select the one you want. I installed 2 of the sensors onto tree trunks. The plastic base / mount allows enough flex to hug the curved tree without cracking or breaking. These sensors monitor my driveway and front door respectively. My last 2 sensors are used on each back corner of the house to alert me of anything that might want to creep around there. They are both mounted to a flat surface of my deck. All 4 sensors are between 3-4 ft high off the ground. So far the units have proven to be reliable and great at letting me know when cars arrive in my driveway...or delivery people drop a package at the door. I have found the detection range for these sensors to be at least the 30 ft that they describe. In fact, I am currently running all of my sensors on low sensitivity with good detection of cars and people without the sensing of birds, squirrels, and my distant neighbors lawnmower lol. All 4 of my motion sensors are within 200 ft of the receivers, so I can't really speak to the range, though other reviews would suggest it's excellent. I have already recommended this set to a friend who lives in a rural area and has a long driveway (she's been surprised by delivery people on more than one occasion). All 3 receivers chime instantly with the correct unique chime you set for each detector...they also have a visual indicator with a blue lit number corresponding to the chime. You can control the volume of the receivers as well as mute them completely but still have the light-up visual indicator. The only real knock I can see with these is that if you want to mount your receiver on the wall (cause they're flat and if sitting on a table the visual indicator is hard to see) the power chord will be plugged in at 12 o'clock and looks a little strange. Not a big deal really when compared to the overall goodness of this system.

Work well, but setup issues
I've had these alarms up for 2 weeks and so far they are doing their job and seem to be holding up to winter weather. I had pairing issues when initially setting the sensors up with the base. It took some trial and error to get the chimes I assigned for each alarm to stay permanently. I would pair a sensor and move on to a second only to have the first sensor assigned chime change on its own and I had to start again. This happened several times and I could not remedy it. I did a work around and got the chimes how I wanted them. I mounted the sensors and they worked for several days, then the chimes changed again on their own. Not sure why. Then out of the blue, they went back to what I had assigned. Pretty annoying. Other than that, things are working as they should. One note I would make is the base does not have a battery backup and only works when plugged into an outlet. These alarms do not seem to have the capacity to work when there is a power outtage. I consider that a negative. The range seems pretty good. My furthest sensor is 200 yards from the base and senses well. I think these alarms will work well as long as they dont get water inside like other models I have used. Those didn't last, so hopefully the better design of these Emacros will be more effective.

Installed in FEB 2025; still working great
My driveway is about 1/8 mile long. I installed 2 of these motion alarms: one at the entrance gate and one half way to the house. The idea is to verify actual vehicles coming to the house. Since there are a lot of deer on my property, they tend to set off a lot of false alarms. But they will almost never set off the first alarm and then the second a few seconds later, like a vehicle coming up my driveway will. So this is a pretty reliable system. The solar charging seems to work well. Each sensor only gets direct sunlight about half the day but I have had no problems with the batteries failing. Also the wireless range works very well for my application. My driveway is curvy, so there is no direct line of sight from the house to the gate, but I have had no issues with connectivity.
