SE 16-LED Camping Lantern with Dimmer Switch - FL808-16

I bought this lantern in case the power goes out in my home but I'm not sure I can rely on it since even after I put the batteries into the lantern it took a good hit on the bottom to make it light. I ordered three and two out of the three were like this. If they do work when I need them to then great but I think I might have the flashlight near by just in case. I think you might want to shop for something better. Might not be bad to give to a child to play with but don't give it as a gift.

Others have 'panned' this item for its this plastic. But only the battery covers is a little thin . Otherwise, this is a very bright little lantern.

The product works well. It stopped working when I changed the batteries. I then discovered that it is a problem with the battery contact. It depends on the make of the battery, the contact on the + side of the lantern would not come into contact with the battery. I fixed the problem with some aluminum foil. The manufacturer should improve the design. Most people would probably throw it out or never buy another one.

It works fine. The lantern is just 7" tall. Bright light radiates out, not down, so it's good enough to see around the room but not to read by. The finger grip isn't really large enough for you to carry for any length of time. Not that this is an issue since it's designed to be placed on a surface. And it is lightweight.

I take this lantern to my night fishing trips. It is small, light and provides enough light to bait your hooks and see your rod tip at night. Very nice and energy efficient light for fishing and outdoors.

Very flimsy item. Ordered two and one didn't work at all. Could hear what sounded like a very small piece rattle inside when I turned the item over.

this light works when you put batteries in side of it, you can then turn the switch and it will work.
