Really fun for a person who likes coffee enough to learn a little about what a serious expert thinks about the brewing process, without becoming a chemist. A few reviews on here disparage the book as 'Wikipedia lite' and 'not that informative'. However I think the book does exactly what it advertises - sheds light on the science behind coffee harvesting, roasting, and brewing. While I could've certainly found this information on the internet (what can't you find on the internet, really..), I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the different methods of roasting and the processes behind it, etc. The book looks great, and I usually keep it open to a page near my coffee set up to remind me that coffee is more than just something you drink to wake up, and that the process from tree to cup is long and delicate.
