These Gibraltar clamps are easy to install, fully adaptable and most importantly are quite resistant. I will continue trying to see how they work on the road using them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Beefy arm tube - Rack clamp not so much *by C***S on June 1, 2025* Packaged well with bubble wrap inside cardboard box - First impression before installing - Very strong and large diameter outer tube, sturdy construction. The Negative: Picked up the rack clamp and was immediately concerned with its ultra-lightweight construction. Appears to be "diecast" from a very lightweight metal. Could be aluminum which would normally be great, but the rack clamp wall thickness is so thin, if I were still breaking down and setting up my kit for a living, I would be very concerned for its longevity. I believe the clamp likely to last many years in a stationary location. One reviewer left a rather brief rant about cracking the clamp when tightening it, and those words were circling in my head every time I tightened that clamp down. I could EASILY see breaking the clamp if you really put some heavy torque on the wingnut when clamping it tight. Thats all of the negativity. Despite the lightweight construction rack clamp, once all of the clamps were cinched down, with a 6 1/2 x 14 snare it was shockingly sturdy. Very little bounce. A reviewer of DW's version of this product noted that it felt sturdy enough to use his snare as a chair. There is no way a person would be able to sit on the snare using this Gibraltar version, the rack clamp would snap for sure. But this isn't a chair, and I detect very little drum bounce or wobble while actually playing, even when slapping cross-stick. Adjustments are unlimited as far as I can tell. Very clever swivel ball with a delightfully oversized wingnut. I have been able to position my snare exactly where I wanted for the first time in a lifetime of playing. What an absolute treat to be able to place the double bass remote kick pedal and high-hat to the right a few inches and have open floor space below the snare. The memory locks are a nice touch; I would take extreme caution not to overtighten these as well for fear of breaking them. One unexpected bonus; the snare now has a bit more tone and resonance than when it was hard mounted to the traditional three leg snare stand. Final Thoughts: For a budget conscience player this appears to be a great product, for full time players you may want to read up on the DW version. Full disclosure, I have not used the DW version, but from my obsessive review reading conclude it is overall a more substantial design with a substantially higher price tag.
