This is some sturdy heavy canvas. Reminds me of a 1960s surplus camping tent. One review I read on canvas knife rolls complained a knife cutting thru this tough material. Well I imagine so, it's still cloth! I corrected this issue by adding polymer knife guards. I cut the guards length to 6 .5 inches since none of my blades are longer than 6 inches. Works very, very well. This is exactly what I needed. I'm sure I will get years of use out of this one.
