Put it in the sun or somewhere warm (20 degrees+) for a while
Had to rebuild a fence with several rotted fence posts I had to dig out of the tarmac and concrete. Needed tarmac for the top layer, probably about 50mm or so, 4 inches around each post. Used less than half a bag. Went through a couple of cans of bitumen cold tar sealer too. Tamped it down then with an old bit of the fence post that wasn't rotted and it left a nice looking finish. Used the sealer between 2 layers of the tarmac and to seal the jointsCan't say how well it'll hold up yet but if I did a good enough job, hopefully as good as the rest of the driveway.Top tip: leave it in the sun or somewhere warm for some hours. Much easier to work with and manipulate.

Works OK but cheaper elsewhere
Product is quite easy to use but can be bought at a DIY store for £12 a bag

Tarmac Cold Lay Ready to Use Macadam 25KG Bag
Good product for filling in potholes in driveway. Easy to use but a bit messy suggest you wear gloves. Takes about 5 days to be fully set depending on the weather.

Worth money
An absolute must for repairing small pot holes on your drive I will definitely be ordering again when needed as it saves a few pounds also

Good for potholes around a foot long and few inches deep
Dont leave outside in the cold, when temperature is below zero overnight stayed half frozen even at 3pm .... tampering frozen just doesnt work. Still I managed to fill two pot holes and will do the smaller ones when the bags are warmed up a bit so I can split up.

Surprisingly strong
I've put this in a pothole which cars, vans and lorries frequently drive across and it has so far survived for six months without coming out. It hasn't gone through the winter yet but based on the performance so far I am hopeful.
