Great train.
I have a small area for my Christmas village and wanted a train. This is perfect for that and I added some revering track to complete the look. The train runs smoothly once the track is assembled, I run my finger along the tracks to make sure I connected them properly and the surface is smooth. The car lights up and stops and goes at the end points. The scale works well with my village and if I want to switch to a OH scale train I can. Nice product, happy with my purchase.

Perfect For Our Christmas Garden
This streetcar was exactly what I was looking for - perfectly sized to fit with our Department 56 Christmas shops and houses. It ran perfectly right out of the box, and run perfectly for several hours during a holiday party. I highly recommend it.

Third time ordering one of these, worked like a champ. Power pole on top is VERY fragile….

Adorable... after a bit of a struggle
I have a bit of a saga on this transaction. I got the train set promptly from Amazon, put it together and the trolley would not run. I had lights, so my connections were good, but no motor. After checking everything a bunch of times, I called Bachmann customer support. Took a while to get through - hours published in warranty literature were not correct anymore - and didn't actually ever get through to a person. I hunted around their website, and located a service email. Got a prompt email reply from Kathy, who had me go thru some minor troubleshooting and then told me to do a return for service on the trolley only. The website has a return for repair submital. I did that and mailed off the box. Via the website, I was able to see when my return arrived, and then the status that they had returned the car with a FedEx tracking number. That was a week ago. When I went back to the Bachmann site to get the tracking number to see where my little trolley was, I could never get back in. So, after I week I called the service 800 number for repair status. I got connected to a live person, gave her my repair order number and got the tracking number. OK! Off to FedEx website and found the box had just been delivered. Called home and.... You guessed it. No box. I felt cursed. But it all turned out OK. FedEx gave the box to the wrong house and our kind neighbors brought it over to me.Bachmann had sent me a brand new replacement trolley. I put the little guy on the track, all ready to go in my little village, and off it went. It really is the cutest thing! Very quiet. It stops at each end, light goes off, it pauses for 5 seconds and then starts back up the other way. I just love it, and after the brief hassle/adventure, it's all the sweeter to finally see it run.I agree with the other reviewer that the car barn is ugly. I think I will weather the brick walls, they just look too new and too plasticky. The barn has an okay-looking "copper" roof. I, too, have the barn buried in billowy polyester snow banks. The EZ track is very nice and simple to set up.I've waited a long time for a train layout and never had the room for one. This little trolley in my village, all in the space on top of a harpsichord, is a nice way to satisfy my life long wish to make a tiny world.

Holiday train for a small space.
I was thrilled to have actually received this item a day earlier than estimated! I immediately set it up to service our Christmas village. It is perfectly scaled for Dept. 56 type buildings. The set-up instructions are clear and the track, power pack and trolley are very easy to set-up.The trolley is beautifully decorated. It ran a little rough at first, but after less than 5 minutes running, the wheels had polished the track so it runs flawlessly even at low speeds.Bachmann offers a life-time warranty on defects in workmanship, so that is a nice piece of mind.Love the set, and plan to use it every year.

Adorable and Quick Delivery
We don't the space for a full train setup, but this adorable vintage streetcar was perfect for our holiday decorations. AND, I couldn't believe the quick delivery time. Arrived before Christmas. We were so delighted with the easy set up and quality. Thank you for making our Christmas more festive.

A nice addition to a size restricted Christmas Village layout
Set the Street Car up about a month ago as part of my Christmas Village display. The scale of the trolley works well with the scale of my village buildings and figurines (Hawthorne Victorian Village and Lemax). The set up was quite easy - the only thing that presented any kind of problem was fitting the track pieces together. The track went together fairly easily but just had to be careful not to bend the small points on the track. The Trolley works nicely and the variable speed control is nice as you can slow the trolley down so it doesn't just scoot through the village. I do wish the Trolley was capable of generating some Trolley/Conductor related sounds. That would add to the set. All in all I am impressed. I used to have a nice Lionel Thomas Kinkade Christmas train set in my village but my village display area got smaller and the train took up too much space so this Trolley train set up works very well in a smaller set up. Not as much fun as the train but given my circumstances I am pleased with the set up.

As Advertised, if you're careful
I decided to add to my Lemax Christmas village and came across this item. It worked for the duration of the Christmas season and is now packed away. I only ran it occasionally. Covid kinda cuts down on visitors to show it to. First off, if you get this, READ the instructions. Second, don't force the tracks. I put mine on a hardwood floor and gradually increased pressure to put them together. Sometimes, it seemed to need too much force, so I backed off and inspected the prongs. Sometimes they went together easily, but still had a "bump" when I ran my fingers across the tracks. The prongs are soft and easily bent, so when I had a problem, I was easily able to bend them slightly with my thumb and try again. When everything was good and the tram tested, I lifted the track onto the table and connected the building. Everything worked fine after that. One more point... The tracks mostly have a letter A at both ends. Connect A to A. One of the long straight tracks has a B. That connects to the short Backstop track. Hope this helps. Enjoy
