Fun High Quality Rope Bone Really Holds Up
A long time Fan of rope toys by Booda Bones, Flossy and a few other makes - we hadn't tried the Hagen yet and are glad we did.Rope toys in general are much safer than other toys, especially if you have an aggressive chewer at home.We have Two Old English Bulldogs Harley, our nine year old 92 pound Chew-Monster and his partner in crime our two year old Elvis. Both just love to chew and play Tug - o - War and this toy at the XL size allows plenty of room for them to go wild. Plus I can get in on the lunacy too - without worrying about losing a few fingers. They're both hardcore, take no prisoners, aggressive chewers. These guys saw through nylabones and Kongs like a beaver buzzing through a 2 X 4. Few toys hold up very long with exception of the good quality rope toys. The rope is quite stiff because the weave is so tight. I know from experience this means the toy should hold up well. Both seem to adore the Mint flavor and the bone shape lends itself to all kinds of interactive play like fetch. Plus the size is manageable allowing our dogs to carry these aroundAfter hours of fierce tug - of war crazy time with me getting in on the fun there's hardly a single strand out of place.Rope Toys Have Lot's of Benefits:* Cleans your dogs teeth and massages the gums* Provides a Great work out (for pooch AND owner)* Doubles as a chew toy and tug toy* Non Toxic - Cotton even with some synthetic floss can't obstruct the intestinal tract like rubber, Polymer and Bone.5 PAWS UP!

My dog won't touch it
These came packaged well and good on time delivery. However, my dog will not touch it. I have tried many times. The mint sent is not overpowering, so not sure why.

Ruff! - In a good way
Bought this toy as an impulse purchase one night where I was drinking a little bit, because my girlfriend's dog destroyed his last rope toy, and I liked playing tug-of-war with his old rope toy.I wasn't sure how the quality was going to be, or if it was in fact going to be mint flavored.Well good news, my girlfriend's dog loves it, and my girlfriend -- who wasn't drinking when this happened -- chewed on the green parts to confirm it is in fact minty tasting. The only downside is that the dog likes to pull off strands and swallow them, because he thinks they're food, but I don't have to pull string out of his butt, so I don't really see it as a downside! In short, unless you're the one who gets to pull string out of your dog's butt, I say go for it! Even if you are, it's a very high quality toy rope and more than likely worth the little extra effort.

Smell is not appealing
Uncertain, but I think the minty scent is not pleasant as this is not a favorite toy for our labs who typically love tug o war with a rope. But, when they do play with it- it doesnt shred!

Good quality rope for big dogs
I have 2 large dogs (over 70 lbs) and they love to play tug-o-war with the rope. I have bought other rope toys before but so far, this is the one that lasts the longest. My dogs are very strong, but the rope holds up to what they put it through, and I've had a rope stay intact for several weeks. The only issue I've found with it is that there will be loose threads that come off the rope as they are playing, and I have to clean my floors more often, but all rope toys I've bought have the same issue. This one does seem to hold up better though. The mint scent also helps to keep it relatively fresh after it has been soaked in dog saliva! I have purchased several of these ropes as I am very happy with the quality and how well they hold up.

Hagin Dogit knotted Rope - mint x-large
I have tried many so called 'strong' rope toys for my x American staffy only to find it chewed through within a week or two. I have searched high and low for the very large , tough rope I bought for her in San Fransisco with no luck. This minted rope x-large just about gets there with the added benefits of being good for the teeth and gums. My dog is still happily chewing, tugging and having fun with this rope since Xmas and I can no sign of wear as yet. I would recommend this item to anyone owning a dog who loves to chew and tug. Anything else is a waste of time and money. Oh and the added benefit with buying from Amazon is it is comparably less expensive than pet stores. I will be purchasing again.YvonneNSWAustralia

Awesome Dog Toy, Smells Good Too! Rope is very Taut.
At first I was totally confused about the whole "mint" smell this toy advertises. Do the dogs like the minty taste? Maybe so... but then I realized the best reason for the mint smell is to keep this toy smelling fresh after it's been soaked with dog slobber and other dirt from playing outside with it. Whereas other soft dog toys like this start to get that unpleasant dog droll smell after even a couple play sessions, this toy still smells absolutely great and minty fresh. I've made it the go to outside toy for the dogs just because it doesn't get smelly! One consideration about this toy is that the rope itself is incredibly taut. I wasn't expecting this. Most rope toys I've owned are loose and floppy, letting the dogs have the chance to whip them around. This rope is extremely tight where there is really no bend in it. It's a very thick and tight rope. Nonetheless, it's a great toy. Dogs love it!

Makes for a great chew toy
I've had this for about 5 months now, and my 1 year old American Pit Bull terrier loves it. When it arrived I worried maybe I'd gotten too big a size (she's about 50 lbs and on the small side for a pit) but she plays with this all the time. Makes for a great chew toy, great for fetch, holds up to heavy tugging (She brings this to me when I'm sitting in my computer chair and then uses it to pull me around the house) great for inside and outside use, and I've even run it through the washing machine when it got gross. Nice tight rope that hasn't shown any signs of coming apart of fraying. If you have a heavy chewer, this should do the trick.

Dura mucho
Una de mis perras (tamaño mediano) rompe todos los juguetes en cinco minutos pero este le duró un año antes de romperlo. Ya le compré otro porque es la única cuerda que aguanta su fuerza. Muy buen producto.

Pretty durable and helped to clean dog's teeth
These are great if your dog needs to have something to chew on, and it has the added plus of cleaning teeth quite well!PROS: -Good deal-No nasty smell-Saliva from dog won't leave it smelling bad even after it's been used-slight mint smellCONS:- Broke quicker than expected, approximately gave 10 hard uses, but may last more with less aggressive dogs-Sheds once it's been worn inOVERALL: pretty good value for the price and would greatly benefit your dog if they need their teeth cleaned.

Durable tug/chew rope
My new cattle dog puppy loves to play tug with this. I’ve bought these a few times for other dogs as well and they always seem to love them. It’s very durable. But make sure to watch that the dog doesn’t swallow any threads that may come off.

Quite sturdy!
I have a chocolate lab who loves to destroy his toys. This rope took him about 1 month of good effort to finally pull it apart. It is by far the sturdiest rope we have purchased to date.

More of a medium, not quite a large
Not as big as one might expect. I would personally call it a medium size. But the product itself is good.
