Fits perfectly
The pad appears to be OEM and works great. Be aware that the premium 3M sandpaper is sticky on the back and will tear the foam when removed. To remedy, coat the sandpaper back with sanding dust before installing. I don't understand why the sandpaper needs adhesive on the back.

My Porter Cable sander is 25 years old and still going strong! but the pad has completely died... so I was really happy to fins a new pad and for not to much cash... It was easily installed and I'm back at work on my project right away! All is now well again...

Just what I ordered

Fits DeWalt pad sander D26441 so you can use Stikit paper
This is a problem solver. The D26441K sander comes with a pad that you really can't use with Stikit paper. Trust me on that. However, this pad has the right type of surface (same as my good old Porter Cable 330) to use the stikit paper easily!I love my venerable PC 330, but the lack of dust collection has finally grown to be too much for me. I now use the DeWalt D26441 with this pad and my Fein turbo-II vac and it's about a billion times better. Not perfect of course, because I'm still sanding, and there is still some flying dust, but on large flat surfaces, especially inside casework, and really especially when sanding primer smooth, this is the e-ticket setup.Plus I guess it works for the PC 340 too, although I don't have any experience with that unit.

Porter Cable 340 sander pad
I have an old Porter Cable 340 sander, and this fits perfectly.This works as well as can be expected. Compared to the one it replaced that was literally disintegrating, this one is perfect.The aluminum backing that is attached (not shown in the picture) is pretty thin, so I cleaned off the old one, and left it under this new one. This gives me a little stiffer base, which I like for flat sanding.Other than the slightly thin aluminum backing, this pad works as good as new. The thin pad just seems cheap. Good Replacement
Good replacement for the original. Different texture than the foam rubber on the original but no affect on performance.

return something in as good or better condition
My sander went out on loan to someone and when I went to use it some time later the old pad was practically falling off. Hmmm, why to folks do that? My rule: return something in as good or better condition. But I digress.... This product was a prefect replacement. Now I'm back in the sander again. :)

Sloppy product quality
Product is poorly made. Foam pad was attached off centre to the aluminum backing. I had to trim it to fit the plate. The mounting holes did not line up. I had to enlarge them in order to install it on my sander.
