## Description

PEUGEOT: France, since 1810. Peugeot mills are renowned by chefs and gourmet cooks the word over for the consistent grind results they produce, their incredible resilience and proven reliability. Compromise is not a word that fits into the Peugeot vocabulary. For each spice, there is one – and only one – Peugeot grinding mechanism: peppercorns; coarse dry salt; chilies; herbs and spices; wet salts; and nutmeg. Add the coffee mechanism, which started it all, and there are seven unique Peugeot mechanisms. Each is designed to derive the most flavor and greatest aroma from its complementary spice. Aesthetically pleasing, Peugeot mills deliver the height of quality, durability, reliability and innovation; making these mills the ones to which all others are compared. The high quality beech wood used in Peugeot mills is grown, harvested, dried, shaped and finished in France. For Paris u'Select mills, the grind is adjusted by turning the ring at the bottom of the mill. Turning the ring in one direction makes a finer grind; turning in the other makes it coarser. Once the grind size is set, it will stay in place until the user changes it. This mill is equipped with Peugeot's legendary pepper grinding mechanism. Made of case-hardened steel, it has received additional treatment against wear and corrosion. Its double-row of helix-shaped claws grab and crack each peppercorn, before drawing it down to the teeth for the perfect grind.

Review: Attractive and Efficient - Attractive grinder that matches an older black pepper grinder, but that is no longer available. Appropriate, however, that the salt one is white and the older pepper one is black -- no mixing them up. One important thing is sea salt will eventually cause an issue with the mechanism, but large salt grains such as Himalayan will work. Easily refillable, adjustable grind.
Review: Well made, easy to use - I bought a Peugeot pepper mill before this and liked it so much that I bought this for salt. I use salt flakes and keep this on a coarse setting. I do not know how well it would do on a finer grind, so maybe other reviews will help for that. Still, this is a solid, well-made mill that is easy to fill and the top screw stays put.

## Features

- MADE IN FRANCE- PEFC certified beech wood from sustainably managed French forests and steel mechanisms all made at the Peugeot manufacture, from concept development to commercialization
- MAXIMUM FLAVOR- 2-stage salt grinding mechanism is made of specially treated stainless steel to keep the teeth razor sharp and protect from corrosion. Releases maximum flavor and aroma by fracturing and crushing the coarse salt to a consistent size.
- EASY TO USE- Get the desired grind size by turning the u'Select ring system at the bottom of the mill. Turn the head clockwise to grind. Safe, comfortable grip helps get high, consistent output with minimal effort.
- BEST RESULTS- To get the best out of your Peugeot salt grinding mechanism, you should use: dry rock salt, with a max. diameter of 4 mm (0.16"). Not recommended for sea salt. Mills comes partially filled with rock salt for immediate enjoyment.
- Warranty- Lifetime on the mechanism, 5 years on the body of the mill. Wipe clean with a soft cloth.
