I will say they have issues shipping things on time and cancelling orders. They never answer emails either. Review: Utterly Useless - This is the type of item there should be a negative rating for, IMO. I ordered these because they are biodegradable. Knowing that, I absolutely expected they would single-use & not like a latex glove that can be used multiple times. However...they are only single-use if you are only using them for maybe 5 minutes? 1st: I accidentally ordered large but was not bothered since my boyfriend needs x-large gloves and assumed he could use them. Well, these could have fit over both of his hands at once - I cannot imagine anyone with hands this big? 2nd: Two of the fingers literally disintegrated in less that 5 minutes! We were only using these to dice some food items up where we didn't want the smell lingering on our hands - that's it. They were not put in any liquid, didn't need to be 100% impermeable, nothing - just a little layer between our hands & the stuff we were cutting. It's a good thing these are compostable because they are nothing but trash as far as I am concerned. Disappointed. ## Features - NEW LOOK AND IMPROVED QUALITY: The food prep gloves that you’ve come to love now features new packaging and improved thicker gloves! - PERFECT PARTNER IN FOOD PREPARATION: Disposable gloves come in a pack of 100; can be used for preparing and handling sandwiches, meat, bread, etc.; ideal for sandwich bars, delis, butchers, and your home kitchen - ECO-FRIENDLY WITH A COMFORTABLE FIT: A plant-based alternative to traditional plastic; Medium, 9” x 11”; loose, easy to slip on; thin so that you can move your fingers freely - TOUCH SCREEN & CASH REGISTER FRIENDLY: Easy to carry around and sturdy gloves can also be easily used with smartphones and other touch screen devices without taking them off ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07P7N17XQ | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Brand Name | Stuff4Homes | | Care instructions | Single-use disposable | | Closure Type | Pull On | | Color | Clear | | Customer Reviews | 3.7 out of 5 stars 833 Reviews | | Fabric Type | PLA | | Fabric type | PLA | | Fit Type | Loose | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Import Designation | Imported | | Item Dimensions | 10 x 8 x 0.08 inches | | Item Type Name | Food prep gloves | | Manufacturer | Vegware_Stuff4Homes | | Material | Plant-based PLA | | Material Features | Plant Based | | Material Type Free | BPA Free | | Model Name | S4h-medium | | Number of Items | 100 | | Origin | Imported | | Other Special Features of the Product | Disposable,Lightweight | | Part Number | 8541947407 | | Product Care Instructions | Single-use disposable | | Recommended Uses For Product | Cooking,Food Handling,Kitchen | | Reusability | Disposable | | Size | Medium (Pack of 100) | | Style Number | S4H-Medium-1 | | UPC | 790704435474 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 1 | ## Images ![100% Plant-Based Food Prep Gloves Disposable, Eco Friendly - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/510eQIdCMHL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are they biodegradable?** A: They are made of PLA corn-starch so yes they are biodegradable. **Q: is this made in china?** A: Not sure but I'm pleased to use a product made from plants and not plastic regardless of where its made. **Q: Are these BPI certified?** A: Hello Christine, We are currently in the process of getting the BPI certification for our food prep gloves. At this stage, we sincerely hope you will find the following information to be helpful: - Our gloves are DIN CERTCO certified (DIN EN 13432:2000-12), which is the European certification scheme for products made of compostable materials. - Our gloves are CMA certified. The Compost Manufacturing Alliance is a partnership of the top U.S. compost manufacturers; having the "Composter Approved" certificate/logo means nationwide processing opportunities to create quality compost from Vegware’s wide range of plant-based compostable foodservice products. Thank you again for your question. Have a good day! Michael **Q: We don’t have separate compost trash. Will these breakdown if throw them away in a regular trash bin?** A: The conditions in landfills don't even allow food to breakdown, thus creating methane gas that's killing us. however it's definitely better than plastic. so yeah, buy them. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not durable and this company itself never responds when contacted etc *by A***H on March 29, 2022* I have an allergy to basically all other gloves, but these do the job. Disappointed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked As Expected. *by J***I on January 15, 2021* These gloves are well made and fit my small adult hands well - a little big, but still functional. They are a tad small on my husband's large hand but he is still able to use them. They are not form fitting so they so slide around a bit. I like that they are recycled. The price point was a little high for me, but during a pandemic we don't have much choice especially when trying to find and use "green" products. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/146749499-100-plant-based-food-prep-gloves-disposable-eco-friendly](https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/146749499-100-plant-based-food-prep-gloves-disposable-eco-friendly) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cyprus* *Store origin: CY* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
