Works like it should

This was not too bad on installation. For me, it has made my cable port unusable without unhooking the wiring and moving it around behind the plug. I'm ok with this because we normally use our satellite antenna or the RV antenna. I may have been able to find a splitter to allow the cable capability but was a little afraid of signal loss and how it would affect the search function on my antenna. I may revisit that one at a later date. I kept the original wall plate from the RV in case we ever decide to trade it in. I was a little skeptical about doing this as this was a brand new RV but it looks professional except for the fact the wall plug is white. It would have been nice to be able to purchase one in brown.

Could not get satellite signal through a 2001 Artic Fox travel trailer because the Winegard wall plate that was installed (Winegard plate for models MODELS RV-7012, RV-7032, RV-7042) had a part in it that completely blocked the Tailgater satellite signal which came through the existing wiring in the trailer. This wall plate was easy to install and still allows someone to use the antenna should they wish, but more importantly this one allows the satellite signal to come through. I am female and it took me 15 minutes to change it out. I should note that I emailed Winegard and they were GREAT in providing confirmation (after I already bought this 7542 plate) that indeed it was the other plate that was blocking the signal and this replacement would fix that. Excellent and cheap solution that allows me to view HDTV from my tailgater without going through 12v.If someone needs help, feel free to respond with an email address and I will be glad to share what I learned with you.

Worked great as a replacement to the one that came with the RV. The original was damaged during a satellite install. Good quality and powers my antenna better than the original.

easy to install and works well

THis is an easy upgrade fix to your trailer or RV cable wiring if you are trying to use your internal trailer cable to hook up to an external satelitte antenna. MAny of the old versions of this were for PARK cable or green light on (antenna) On those older versions satelitte signals will not pass. So you buy this version of the switch. It allows Park cable, or satelitte for one position of the switch, and antenna (your rooftop antenna) on the other (green light on). I did not have to rewire anything, Just make sure when you change it out you mark your old antenna cable with tape when you remove the old switch, so you get the two cables wire back into the right place. The power wire should just slide right onto the spade plug on the new Switch, which is BTW, the power amplifier for your rooftop antenna.

Used this unit to replace a failed king booster word well so far

I had no signal on the trailer tv. Read that this might be the problem so ordered one of these units. 1/2 the price of what the trailer supply store wanted. Fixed the problem Really difficult to work in the small space behind the tv.Took a while but got it installed.
