A Proper Coffee Soaker
I compared three brands of cantuccini almond cookies [Bellino, Ferrara, and Nonna Annuziata] along with the now discontinued Cucina & Amore brand. My grandmother and mother made mandelbrot, which adds to my knowledge base. All these brands have very similar recipes, almost alike in calories, sodium, carbohydrate, cholesterol, and protein. Differences do occur in consistency, almond chunks versus slices and density, and here Nonna Annuziata comes out poorly; if there are 25% almonds, then it must be ground-up as there is no satisfying nut crunch. Also, they are very soft and quickly disintegrate when dunked in coffee or tea. Bellino is properly twice-baked and hard and crunchy; they soak up the coffee without readily dissolving and are closest to my grandmother's style. Ferrara is also nearly as good in this regard.

Worst Biscotti/Cantuccini I've EVER had! Weird taste!
I've been eating cantuccini forever in the US and Italy and i've never had anything so absolutely horrible! I had never had this brand before, but tried them since the brand i have on subscribe and save were not currently available. They were crisp and fresh and not expired, but the taste was just GROSS! They had a weird taste like a chemical. I ate one or two and threw the rest of the box away. Don't waste your money. They are made in Italy but i've never had bad biscotti/cantuccini in Italy before. This company should be ashamed of selling this product. They are made by the big brand CENTO, btw.

YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED
What a pleasant surprise it was to bite into these biscotti. My office building's coffee station has biscotti individually packaged and sells them for $2 each, and I've developed quite a taste for them. I do not like the one brand that seems to be in every grocery store in Dallas, so I went online and found these. I took a chance and bought the vanilla and chocolate, AND BOY WAS I HAPPY THAT I DID. These are wonderful.
